Experimental 1.7.2.1 test patch

1.7.2.1 is official now.

1.7.2.2 might follow this evening or later.

Why isn't important release details like this not on Twitter or a new Forum thread instead of being buried in an old thread like this?

C'mon, let us know what is happening with these developments.

We need more information regarding these updates with details of what the implications are and explanations of new features/fixes in plain english.

Don't just expect everybody to understand the techie stuff and the changelogs are not always easy to decipher.

More info, guidelines and warnings please.

I think 1.7.2.2 is going to be the official patch with all the fixes that;s going to fix everything and everyone can live happily together forever :D

I'm still confused on when 1.7.2.2 will be released.

Just released. I got it through Six Launcher. Just waiting for servers to update.

well sorry for you then. you are late, we already roll 1.7.2.2.

and i pulled this together for you:

1.7.2.1 is official now.

1.7.2.2 might follow this evening or later.

SE 3 - 6 has wrong timezone since we've been testing in other timezone. Ill fix it later.

No fleshed out changelog until 1.7.2.2 later this evening.

I'm wondering this as well.

I don't like using sixlauncher, I would prefer to update my files manually.

Also, is there a mirror for ARMA2_OA_Build_94876.zip?

I tried downloading from the site, but it's sloooooooow..

Seems the us, uk and fr mirrors all have different versions of the Dayz files as well.. need to get these synched asap.

There are currently at least 4 active builds out there atm.. (1.7.1.5, 1.7.2, 1.7.2.1, 1.7.2.2) plus 2 or 3 active beta builds.

It's getting a bit confusing for new people, let alone us oldbies. :P

Server now says:

20:22:01 File z\addons\dayz_server\init\server_functions.sqf, line 55

20:22:01 "FUCK"

instead of:

File z\addons\dayz_server\init\server_functions.sqf, line 55

"OH NOES IT'S THE CLEANUP!"

how do you roll back to previous version using six updater?

i think its impossible. roll back is only possible through manual install

Installed 1.7.2.1. startet the game, joined a server, same location i last logged out, no gear lost. Then i made my way to the souther barracks at NW airfield. 5 zombies spawned on the same spot. Some of them didnt moved at all. they looked like a statue. i tried to be sneaky and it worked so well. i attracted no zombie, even while proning 10m away from them. i noticed 2 survivors on the other side of the airfield, followed them and made them panic by writing stuff in the direct chat. very funny tho :D i followed them around. they attracted every zed. made me laugh so hard :D

so far, this patch looks very good to me (except the statue zombies). keep it up ;)

It was stated in the OP and in several posts of the first few pages that the zombies were intentionally broken to test.

Server owners having the fade to black issue need to update to 1.7.2.2 via six updater then move their dayz_anim and dayz_code files into their servers. Only way you can get the 2 files.
