yet another fix for bandits...

as they like their killing so much, what if the more they kill the more they start to lose blood... 1+/sec for every killed player...

To get it into even more detail' date=' while the Bandits are outnumbered big time, they also die far more often. Wait what? Yes, they die far more often. While almost 20% (18.44%) of the living characters are bandits, over 40% (43.15%) of the deaths in this game were bandits. This is likely to be caused by bandits engaging into fire fights & risk-heavy areas more often.

Nerfing the smallest number of players that dies the most often is a bit of a double nerf, no?

so vipeax, you being a dev and all, do you not see the deathmatch problem that is increasing all the time? just asking, because i want to know if its worth sticking around if you guys dont see a problem with it...

I'm sorry, but if you're proposing that bandits just arbitrarily start bleeding for no reason, then your grasp of the concept of this game is so far-gone that you shouldn't be making suggestions for it. At least the other PvP whiners pretend to know what the game is about and try to disguise their ideas as something that seems plausible.

So causing people to randomly start bleeding and lose the most valuable resource in the game for no reason other than you don't want them to shoot you isn't a mess of an idea?

man its hard to get people to undestand isnt it. if this game was about killing everything you saw, then i wouldnt complain, hell i wouldnt be here...

the only reason i came to this forum, was to tell the devs that this game was going to turn into a deathmatch if things didnt change, and now we are there...

I'd like to make it very clear that gameplay related stuff comes down to Rocket himself. While some of us have a fair amount of input the actual in-game gameplay comes down to him. What I can tell you though is that if you dislike anything in the mod as it is now, that is not clearly a bug, you will have a hard-time seeing a change happen to it. There are certainly plans for more co-op and party-orientated situations, but nerfing bandits is not something I'd be hoping for.

So far the stats still proof that PvE > PvP in kills, and by a big amount.

This game is about PvP. I'm sorry if you came here expecting that everyone would join at the arms and skip down the streets singing "We're Off To See The Wizard", but at no point during the planning of this game was it ever not meant to have a lot of PvP.

What about this: Why dont we implement a sound where the players character screams constantly "Im a Bandit, fucking whack me !" and is hearable about 500m for players and zombies ?

Or what about this: If you kill someone, a magnet spawns in your backpack which is not removable and attracts bullets / zombies / randomly occuring doorsteps who will break your legs when you walk through them ?

im pretty sure most people come to play the game for its survival part. but the problem is the people that play the game for just the lols, trolling and just want pure deathmatch. it doesnt add anything to the gameplay, just people expecting something that could be...

Point is, you cant give free will in a video game...

Without PvP the survival aspect would be so boring. Gear up in town for a couple hours, travel up north and hunt for a couple hours. So 3-4 hours of game play and it's over.

You wanna nerf bandits then nerf them in a way to mimic reality karma etc.No blood loss or flies surrounding them(though I like it) but instead a harsher life by less loot spawning for them.This forces a realistic circumstance on them and that is that they now "need" to kill to survive.

I walk around this game and die of starvation and think to myself...is my real life bad luck carried over into this game(LOL its how I feel sometimes).And when that happened AGAIN last night I stumble upon a survivor running into a building I was looting while being chased by zeds.I was so desperate from losing blood from hunger that I opened fire right away.That is not me as I try to avoid any other player.But there it was and I took it but got killed by the player instead.

So make them have a negative but that is not in itself debilitating too much since they are murderers and so they basically kill for other peoples hard work.This will curb banditry since people will now think about that before committing to the act.

Finally,I feel it should not be 100% chance of bad karma or a number of kills=bad karma.Instead I feel it should be a percentage chance for each murder.This way the world feels more real and less stat based.Your scavenging after a murder and not finding anything and wondering to yourself....did I piss off the maker somehow.Gives a realistic feel that can also be countered by a certain amount of zeds killed with small chance to revert back to normal loot spawns....of course with no indication of anything happening...subtle background changes.;)

Have i said it should be taken out? sometimes you will be in a situation that you need to kill another player, but not 24/7 as it is now, that is another game...

Make military gear loot spawn only in heli drops.Remove military gear from deerstands.Make military gear a highly prized thing and make it extremely hard to get.I mean come on now guys,we all know how long people play Eve Online just to get better ships etc.Its the same here but just can't be as harsh as EVE since player life is much shorter and harder to sustain.

Now hear me out before you scream NO NO NO.Get rid of tents.Keep players on the edge and not feeling like a death is just an annoyance.Watched a video where the guy fully geared out just dies and seems to not care.His squadmates tell him to not worry as the base camp has got ^#^# and so he can just reloot there.FLAME ON!!! :)

And the biggest key to the survival part of the game is the other players. The zombie AI is terrible; and even if it was perfect' date=' it'd still be easy to work around. The [i']only reason that there's any threat to your survival in Day Z is because of the PvP aspect.

going of topic here, but what you say is true, the amount of gear that some "clans/groups" have is insane... also takes away a lot from the whole "experience"...

How about hunger for a kill? Say a person becomes a bandit and additional parameter is added to his HUD. If he doesnt kill for a long time he becomes hungry for a kill. His kill hunger icon gets flashing and if he doesnt score a kill he starts to faint. The more time he's not scoring the kill the more he faints. If he fails to kill for a too long then he dies.

Now just imagine those fucktards at Electoro hill with DMR/Barret sniping noobs. At some point they all become hugry for a kill and (SURPRISE!) there are no noobs at electro or they just learned to stay away from the city. Omg what they can do? Of course fight each other. Ha-ha well that will be hilarious to see some bandit clan members kill each other to survive like spiders.

No one has ever died from "not killing enough". That's almost as stupid as the OP's idea that bandits should just start bleeding for no reason.

i didn't even bother reading past page 1, but seriously guys; why do flame threads get so much more attention than some threads that could really improve the games playability.

why not put the effort into being constructive? i can guarantee that most of you wouldn't act like such dicks to someone you met in real life..

"PvE kills" are the 15% of kills, but the system is counting also the suicide "respawn" button, used to respawn where you want by tentatives, or just because you got a fracture and you are too distant from an hospital after spawn.

I use to respawn like 4-5 times to find the right place (usually near balota so i can loot the military camp with no pressure of lose gear), as many players do after they spawn.

Zeds are too weak. A lot of people disconnects when they are trapped. They won't kill anybody. If you shoot a bandit and he gets killed by zeds, is it a pvp kill or pve? (i think pvp).

But, seriusly, stop complainig about bandits.

If you are alone, just camp under a tree sniping.

If in 4+ players, you can assault towns and kill survivors.

That's how it is supposed to play (i think, because bandit's skin were removed and there is no reward for be friendly).
