Im a dog

Respawned, ran around for a few minutes, then it suddenly switched into 1st person view, when I switched back to 3rd person I was a dog!! And I could still see my human character standing next to me, but not interact or control him.

I ran around for a few minutes until the server went down.

Has this happened to anyone else? Bug or game feature? :huh:

Edit: To clearify, Im not a dog anymore, it just lasted for a few minutes, then server went down and I later spawned as normal :(

Ha. Never seen that before, must be a bug. Not that i am a DayZ pro or anything. I'm sure i've read on these forums that someone has come back as a crow before. You could be a crow in ArmA2 when you died if my memory serves me correctly.

There used to be a bug where you spawned as a crow. Happened to me a couple of times. You could peck people, but it was insta-kill and therefore a bit op.*

If you ask me, there should be a 5% chance or so to spawn as a dog when you make a new character

You could always suicide and respawn if you don't want to be a dog.

The dog could bite people, run pretty fast and eat wild animals and drink out of lakes

hahahaha.. well sometimes that happens if you touch helicopter crash site.. but thats perma.. and I dont think its fade, probably a hacker, used to happen alot on random servers for Arma 2 OA........
