  • The microphone icon could be displayed on-screen with no microphone connected when in voice activation mode and lowest voice threshold
  • Bolts attached to a door wouldn't move or animate with a vehicle

  • Added: Player spawn point editor now saves which subwindows are hidden and what checkboxes were ticked
  • Added: Player spawn point editor now has options for the debug shapes being drawn
  • Added: Player Spawn Points can now avoid triggers
  • Added: <groups_as_regular> was using its default value, but was not defined in playerspawnpoints.xml (Documentation)

Hey,
I am raising a problem (at least for me) which basically got patched out without mentioning it in the notes. It seems like
that with this patch you removed the possiblity to ADS with holding right click.
 

How it used to work:

I used to have both of the below mentioned set on Right Click:

  • Raise modifier
  • Toggle aiming down sights

This made it possible that as long as I hold Right Click that I am aiming through my current scope and as soon as I lift my finger from right click it lowers the weapon again.

 

What happens now:

When I hold right click right now I am going into hip fire stance and I need to additionally click middle mouse to trigger ADS.

So basically no matter if I bind Toggle aiming down sights or not it behaves the same way which seems to be very wrong.

 

Would it be possible to get the old functionality back, as this is really frustrating for me.

Thank you for this nice update and the Server browser filter for 1st and 3rd person servers!
By the way, how come there is a browser filter for Empty servers in the Launcher but not in-game?
Is there open-source code for the Launcher that we can look at?

Also, there is no information in the DayZ in 2024 Roadmap in regards to how often updates will be released this year, only that:

I will check.
I believe that the amount of updates per year will remain the same (or very similar) 🙂
edit: The team will look into the empty server option, but it's not a priority as 
the functionality is "kind of" there - just filter by ascending player count and all empty server will be at the top.
There is no open source code to look at for the Launcher. The Launcher is proprietary software, and not open to the public in any way.

Dear developers. I've been playing your wonderful game since testing. Until 02/20/2024 in the game settings in Combat section I could put <Toggle aiming down sights> and <Rise modifier> choose RMB. At the same time, I could aim directly at the sight by holding the right mouse button, but now I can’t. Please tell me how we can return CONVENIENT functionality to our beautiful game?

Hey,  is there a possibility to do something about disconnecting while driving? I've died three times disconnecting on official servers (my countries servers) while in a car and it's really demoralising having it happen then just reappearing back at the start losing everything I've worked for. 

I love DayZ but it just sucks losing 30-40 hour characters to something out of my control.

Hi, please, create a ticket here. The team might need to ask you more question. Make sure to mention name of the server, when it happened. They might also need dxdiag, traceroute... Creating a ticket is best way to go in this case. Thank you

Since yesterday I haven't logged in anymore, what's the point if I'm shooting like a disabled person. I have nothing against those who are accustomed to this management. But in an emergency, I hold down RMB. I can't bring myself to press once. I want to play, not suffer

Hopefully hotfix is going to be released as this is literally the only reason i don't play after patch :P

Playing a modded server with upkeep and shit, not playing is kind of out of the question.... Getting into a heavy PVP session with this aiming is _not_ cool to say the least.. :o

No ETA for now, the team is looking into some options and it depends on how easy/hard the solution will be.
But they are aware you guys are waiting for the fix, they will do their best to find the solution asap.

I thought your update to the geometry of the trees would increase the FPS of both the server and the client and remove the moment when cars get stuck on tree branches, but to be honest, I didn’t notice absolutely no difference in performance, maybe there is, but somehow it’s not very good.. maybe you should reconsider more types of vegetation?

To be honest I have worse performance on 1.24 than before. In forests FPS drops from 120 to 70-90 with some visible stuttering effect which is really annoying. After turning of antyaliasing its much better, no idea what happened.
