patch after patch still no locker and codelocks

dear Developer, you've come a long way, adding very useful stuff

but if you want bases to be any good you need

1. A faster locking system, a codelock, see mods, maybe you can add your "realism" by it requiring a 9v battery or something.
2. Lockers, armoire, placard, cabinet what ever you name it, a 1:1 clothes container, like a dummy player. very useful to change full outfit, for raiding toxic zones, go for supplies, defending the base etc

before the "look for a modded server" modded servers tend to add a lot of stuff I don't like.

I second this.  A locker would be great.

Also boarding up doors as part of the base game.  Completely authentic.  Lots of mods have it.  Everyone would love it.  Makes way more sense in a zombie survival MMO than gas grenades, imo. 

We've got all of these guns, let us put them in a gun cabinet.  Small additions like this really make a base feel more personal.

Code locks would require power which the maps do not have. Unless you like the battery to run out and unable to unlock the door 😁 
Many of the ideas you mentioned are known to us. Some can´t be currently done due to "reasons", some won´t be done any time soon due to priorities. But keep the ideas coming as we are noting community ideas down and the devs go through it time to time to see If something could be done.❤️

Well...Might as well revisit the question about possibly expanding C+ then.

Since this has always been the heart and soul of the SA, and remains the best supported by Modders and the easiest to break in to as a Newbie..... The expansion Northwards (like maybe a Namalsk-style territory) or on to Islands (similar to Deer Isle) is long overdue! CLE be damned! Servers can handle the added stress!

Yeah but we already have mechanical locks (just not numeric).
PC is one thing but having code lock also means entering numbers and that could be a bit tricky for console players.
Overall it´s not an easy task and there are other priorities. 
We will see what the future brings...

Make it so once a player enters the code for the first time it's remembered and the lock stays on the door so players can pass through it with ease.

 

Pretty certain moving between the 10 keys on a keypad via a cursor will be far faster on a console controller than trying to scroll through 10 numbers on four dials currently is.

And a small electronic circuit in stand-by does not consume much, in my opinion, for a month, a charged 9v battery would be enough. Maybe it wears out more with each opening/hatching. Car/truck batteries and wire ropes can be used if desired
Then it's "just a game", isn't it? With all the unrealistic absurdities that have been made (unusable tents and fences in the woods, exaggerated consumption of everything, backpacks that cannot be filed when full, etc...) this would be the "minimum wage" for this game.

If you Googled mechanical code locks as someone stated, you'd see that they are not bike locks but instead door locks that are very common on houses/gates in suburbs and cities and commonly used on properties that are for sale. they require no power to function. they could use a number panel that the player could use a cursor on to select and enter a pin or maybe repurpose the hotkeys wheel with numbers instead of fiddling with a bike lock and its combination style lock, could ease of use by select spawn areas and limited spawn rates in comparison to bike locks

What are you all even talking about? Remember that this game uses random metal wire as hinges. As hinges! When at the same time one can craft wooden box with some planks and nails and real hinges and lock appears out of thin air. I don't believe that BI is able to do anything with base-building feature. It hasn't changed since it was published. Its not in their schedule for some reason. Modders did everything by themselves already, and for free. You can build animated structures, furniture - everything.

Kyiara has always been this clueless, unfortunately.   Kyiara says that codelocks require power.   This is total bullshit.  Also 'reasons' is the excuse that people give when they are terrible at their jobs.  Either they can't figure it out,  they made colossal errors in their engine, or they're lying to consumers.

Metal wires as hinges.  The entire Kuru mechanic.  Putting cars server side for no decent reason.  All nonsense.
