    Well...Might as well revisit the question about possibly expanding C+ then. Since this has always been the heart and soul of the SA, and remains the best supported by Modders and the easiest to break in to as a Newbie..... The expansion Northwards (like maybe a Namalsk-style territory) or on to Islands (similar to Deer Isle) is long overdue! CLE be damned! Servers can handle the added stress! Cheers! @philbur

    1.19 Stable Release / Wipe News

    When you take time off from the Forums...you expect to see a little less outrage over the same old "concerns" and "issues" (as the player base gets used to the plus/minus nature of this particular game. But alas.... there still seems to be a decent amount of folks who consider their individual gameplay preferences and specific grievances are somehow going to matter. Especially those who play on Vanilla Servers and do not take the time to find a Community Server that fits better in to their idea of how DayZ should be. The thread from @Kingfisher5564udemonstrates that DayZ players are still unwilling to cut the Devs a break, here and there.... The history of development since the beginning of the Standalone has had its share of pain and suffering from the die-hard fans and people new to DayZ alike, and yet.... after these many years, as the title ages and the player base dwindles, there are still those that rise up in horror at just how unacceptable something as obvious (and necessary) as a Wipe is to them as "customers". If DayZ truly appeals to you as an adventurer and as a game that ticks the boxes for your enjoyment then where along the line did you decide that your 30 dollars had become so much greater of an investment as to require a game studio to stop improving and tweaking the ever-evolving state of the player's in-game experience? For every player that throws a fit and promises to "stop supporting" this game there are new players that finally can justify the purchase as it now has become a fuller and better fleshed out product. The fact that SA managed to survive the first 5 years of EA, and has still not been shut down and forgotten by Bohemia (as much as they probably would like to) speaks to the appeal and to the marketability of this game more than any feature list or marketing ploys.... With the constant reminders about all of the major headaches and weird bugs/glitches/content/mechanics, DayZ SA is still very relevant to those that do the math and accept that everything can't be seamless and perfect in a game that started out as a poorly supported project, with minimal staff and nonsensical oversight, from a company that had other priorities and little internal interest in its success.... It still works. It serves as enough of a distraction from your real life, and provides enough enjoyment/immersion that there are very few other games currently out there that can surpass it in sheer depth and longevity. Build 1.19 should be Build 56.16 by now....right...OK...got it.... Now go out there and enjoy the better inertial character movement and vehicle mechanics, and the other small items and map improvements, and Modding tools! And....in 2014 and every year since..... Rule #1 is..... DON'T GET ATTACHED TO YOUR GEAR! (Some of you oldies might remember me as @philbur....from back in the early days of fun and tears) I still play, host a server, acts as an Admin on another, and still, Love and Hate this game!
