Big Announcement coming this week

So the big announcement thing on twitter posted by Dayz coming this week with a map sign, Can we assume getting a new map when, Duping is not fixed, tons of glitches, lack of private server admin features and god it's too many to list, would be nice to get some advise from @ImpulZ

The map is desgined by different people than those fixing duping and whatever. As a PC player myself I can't wait to see where this new map will take place and what kind of new things this will bring (objects, assets) that might also be used in Chernarus.

So how this gonna impact on console servers? Example different server for Chernarus and the new map, that sux if we need to get 2 different server for 2 different maps

I believe that they won’t announce the new dlc map for dayz until they have released the update for console.. but it is a dlc/new map for dayz as they have said they was going to release a new map for dayz a few months ago!! And we probably won’t be able to have a private server for the new map for a while as it will come out on pc before console!! I’d be surprised if they released it across all platforms from the start...

Of course you will need a 2. server to run another map simultaneously, a classic fps map cycle wouldn't make much sense and traveling between maps as a player won't be possible as stated very early in the development cycle. If you don't wanna invest more money, come to the bright side of gaming - PC. Here you can run more then 1 server on a machine if its beefy enough.

I would like to see a comeback of a classic map, like Sahrani. With a facelift like Chernarus received it would be a blast. We will see, still plenty of week left for the big announcement.

With so many game breaking issues people are experiencing in this game, I find it a little irresponsible to be introducing new content like this before fixing some of these big, existing issues.  .....and being that this is likely paid DLC, it just adds insult to injury.

Totally different is my guess.  It's going to be a paid DLC apparently so it will have to be.

I'm kind of hoping the new map will be better optimised for PS4 and will be an upgraded version of Dayz which will also stop the game freezing up and losing textures when you move around. Here's hoping!
