Campfire persistence

Campfires literally just sit in the middle of the main road for weeks at a time...  Why, when you add a pot and stand, they just magically disappear overnight?  What's the point of finding these items, if you need to find them every time you make a fire?  Seems sorta pointless, they should be 100% persistent once there is a stand added.

Are you referring to actual campfires that have been crafted or are you talking about the remaining ash piles from players who are suiciding using rags on the ground and the flare - there is a difference between the two and why the persistence is different - you’re not finding people crafting campfires on the coast in the middle of the main road.

Yeah, this is likely what’s happening.

I wish my stone camp fires would persist in the private RP server I’m in. They’re gone after every server reset.

Those are campfires. They are the exact same thing.  You add rags and a log to those slots, you can relight the fire.  There literally isn't a difference.

They need to make campfires like they do barrels, wire barriers, and the like where you PLACE them, then that's where they stay, and they don't despawn.  It IS frustrating that you go through all the trouble to build a cool stone oven, only to have it disappear an hour later.
