Resubmitted update?+more

Recommended Posts

The latest info given on the DayZ twitter page states that the console update didn't get approved and needed to be resubmitted for it to be realised to console players.

What was this problem that Microsoft and/or Sony had found which allowed them to refuse the update ? The devs stated on twitter it would only be refused if Microsoft found something that they thought was a crucial must fix, so what was this ?

Also why is it that Microsoft/Sony is able to find the bugs and you aren't? Or was the dev team knowledgeable of this problem but chose to push the update before fixing it which then led the it having to be resubmitted.

When the accidental update was realised why is it that Microsoft didn't stop it from rolling out ? Was this 3-7 day verification process in retaliation to the bad update that was accidentally realised ?imo it would make sense for Microsoft to start watching what state the game is in as many players are getting refunds i.e claiming it's 1.0 when it's not entitle's you to a refund by Microsoft

Im guessing that MS had so many requests for refunds for Dayz that they actually checked the update passed from bohemia and realised it isnt up to scratch.

It was PlayStation that cock blocked the update from what I've seen, not M$.

There is no "accidental release" when it comes to updates. Just think about it. Either the people handling it are incompetent asf or they're spewing bullshit from their faces. Maybe even both.

I imagine Microsoft & Sony just check possible ways the game could crash the system or mess with things, as well as making sure everything is following their regulations or whatever, like buddy said above me i don't think they focus on bugs. That said I'm curious why the build was rejected.

Didn't PC had a major bug with login into server, game froze. Something like that. They perhaps put it into console patch too. Who knows. I just see this delay as a good thing, positive thing for everyone.

I do not wish to start any console war here but what's the reason for delay on xbox then also. So they can do server maintenance for both on the same day ?

Both companies have to approve for it to go thru. If one finds a problem it cock blocks the other. Forgot where I was reading about it, it's been awhile.

That being said I'm even more curious to see why it was rejected, it saddens me that Bohemia is pushing an update that clearly wasn't ready

Get used to it -- we've been dealing with it on PC for 5+ years -- they weren't all bad, but some of the patches over the years have just been awful.
