Nagcra 1 Posted July 16, 2019 I have been 50/50 with purchasing DAYZ on XB since it appeared in early access. I have read and watched so many reviews and played the trial. The one thing missing that would bring closer to purchase is coop. Why cant we group up? Seems almost impossible to find friends in this game. Giving each other directions such as where the sun is and describing landmarks. Great fun and completely immersing. Then I got the izurvive app and learnt the map pretty well. After a while it took the fun out of it using the app to find my way. Just today I was searching through 20 god-tents that some douche duped and set up at the harbor-area at Solnichy. There was 10-15 rifles laying around on the ground, none of them had mags but there was single bullets loaded into all of them. I am checking them through (in hope of finding one with a mag) when another guy says hi and ask me not to shoot him. I tell him its all good and tells him that he can take whatever he wants. A moments later a third guy shows up and the same thing happens again. We all ended up going inland and two of us are now proper geared after a bit of adventuring (the third one died in Dolina and never made it back). Its all just a matter of NOT shooting at first sight and being friendly and polite instead - and then just roll with it and sees what happens. Take that approach and you will have a couple of handfuls of trusted people to play with in no time. 🙂 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

awalsh47 200 Posted July 16, 2019 Without isurvive app very hard but that's half the fun. Some of the best times in this game were when I first got it and myself and all my friends were getting lost or trying to decide where we are on the map. Now we all know the map some of that magic is gone. I at a point now where I know the map really well bar the south west section. Pre 1.0 I had a group above Novograd and currently have a group south of Servograd but we are all heading coast side now to pvp before the wipe. Dayz is so much fun as a group though. I suggest you get it the day the 1.04 update drops as the game is broken now with mass duping and people aren't playing the game as intended. Seth Allen Smith 17 Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) i've been playing this game since the mod, the player interactions are what keep me coming back. a few weeks ago i followed a dude into a 2 story house, we have a stand off and end up shooting and knocking each other. We both wake up about the same time and instead of shooting one another we start talking and tell one another good shot and explain i had been hunting him, we had a good laugh and we end up going to the Sol docks and raising an army of 14 bambis. Bumped into eachother as i was explaining how big the map was & the possibility of finding eachother.
