I literally can not think of one good reason, unless you would like to billboard you're location to everyone... Maybe as a weird flex to say " Hey, look what i can do!", as they waste days of their lives trying to build a base that serves no purpose. Much safer leaving your car in a locked barn, because people see barns from a distance and think " ain't shit in there"... They see a base though on the other hand, and everyone will take things from your stash, whether they need it or not. Just bury you're stuff... 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I quite enjoyed the little bit of base building I did as an activity. My mate spent a week building it while I was away visiting family and then some teenagers came along one night and dismantled every last bit. Didn't quite see the point of that but hey ho, no sleep was lost. I've got a pretty good method for hiding stashes and that's good enough for me. I wish though, that you could board up a house and lock it so that it was safe and didn't unlock every time the server restarts. I always thought that it would be cool to occupy a flat on the apartment buildings. You could probably end up with quite a community living in one! But as you say, there isn't any point. It just shouts out "here's my stash". I think on a real zombie apocalypse I would hide and bury stuff.
