As above logging into various servers which are said to be daytime in the launcher and once logged in they are night.......what gives?

Don't look at it as day and night but more like dawn and dusk.  Where as it's still dark out at dawn especially during the winter

It’s been acknowledged- no mention of a fix though.

If you arrange your server list by time sometimes you have a better chance of picking a server that’s actually what it says it is.

It’s an amazingly stupid problem- but here it is.

thank you both

If you're playing at a time a lot of players will be online - like maybe 7pm or weekend for instance - servers that say "day" but have low player count WILL be night, or will be dawn/dusk as Guy Smiley says. As soon as it is not full daylight on the server, nearly every player moves out. Where there are medium or high pops, there will be daylight for sure.
