True or False

Does the crow of the Rooster indicate a nearby player.

I met a fellow traveller who claimed this to be true but just wanted to clarify it.

I don't think so, I've found roosters ingame cockadoodledooing all fucking day, tho I've wondered this myself? Currently camping in berezino for interactions, haven't heard one rooster and I've saw 4 dudes separatly so i assume not?

I’m currently sniping in Cherno to test this theory and using a low pop server to see if it’s true.

So far I had a screen lag due to zombies loading in and suddenly the rooster started. A few seconds later I saw a playing in that area.

Interesting, currently got an unknown individual near me, currently no rooster but zombie groan seemed to change to a more slowed snarly sound?

I understand they spawn anywhere but for them to spawn in a player needs to be near by. So far it has worked 3 times now for me. All I’m saying is if there is a rooster and a player in the same vercinity then it may crow pointing them out.

They crow whether you're near one or not. And if they're spawning in on a player, it could be you it's spawning on. I've come across them in woods which they've probably wandered into after spawning on an earlier player. But the crowing doesn't indicate its nearby, anymore than a cow mooing indicates a nearby player.

A chicken squawking indicates something got close to it ...

It does, correct, including zombies I believe. Cockerell the other hand make a bloody racket whether you're near one or not because I've watched one with binoculars!

If the rooster crows, and there's nobody around to hear, does it make a sound?
