john garcia 42 Posted November 30, 2018 So I didn't have the chance to play for last few weeks and was burnt anyways with limited content. Well been getting back on with last update and now have questions. With all the rain what issues will I experience when my temp drops? I hear my character shivering from the cold and it worries me. It seems that if I go indoors and hangout for awhile my temp rises and I'm good to go?? Would it be worth it to wear a rain coat? Will being soaked affect gear? Will appreciate any and all advice, thanks.
Arctic Volkssturm 95 Posted November 30, 2018 (edited) Your food and water drops a lot faster when you're wet and cold. Food also seems to not fill you up as much so the best way to recharge is to build a fire in a dry place and warm up and dry out before you eat. I wear a raincoat but it becomes drenched if you're out in the rain long enough. I usually wear wellies and the NBC hood too they both stay completely dry Edited November 30, 2018 by Arctic Volkssturm
Man Parts 241 686 Posted November 30, 2018 Feel free to wear whatever you want. Stay with water and food and you'll be fine.
Luigi Evahard 12 Posted December 1, 2018 I checked my temp when my character was freezing once and it said 36.039c so not cold enough to be sick. All the rain does is stop you from sprinting and makes your food and water go down quicker
TheYetiBum 790 Posted December 1, 2018 I'd advise using a high stamina character build with an AR & melee weapon for dealing with infected. The new wrench will triple tap infected if you go for those head shots. Carrying as little as possible, like a few backup mags and a couple of boxes of ammo and only ever have a canteen & a few cans of food but eat everything else you find as you find it. Also pro tip, eat and drink until you get the full stomach symbol in the bottom right hand corner , this way you'll be full on calories & hydration and make sure to use chlorine tablets on our water now as food poising will make you burn through hydration even faster when in the rain and cold. Plus throwing up will pretty much empty your stomach of food now too. but the lighter you are the better, once your soaked through you'll lose 30% of your full stamina atleast. Once your dry again sometimes your stamina bar bugged out and doesn't increase back , if this occurs drop something from your inventory and pick up or drop all clothes etc and pick up again & it should force a stamina bar reset
