HUD disappeared

My HUD disappeared yesterday. I can monitor my health, etc through the inventory key, but I am unable to see available commands for the item in my hand and nearby vicinity. Has anybody experienced this? More importantly is there a fix?

i have the same issues think others will too.

Hold ` or turn it on in settings.

The environment window (on the left) is very hit and miss in my recent experience. Often it's just not there, or won't 'see' what's there in front of you. 

Seems to be quite server dependent.

Sometimes if there are multiple items on the vicinity, you will scroll down to see all the contents and it will stay there afterwards.  Just use your scroll wheel to get back to the top, and it should be back to normal until you loot another pile of 3 or more zombies in the same spot.
