Sooo is the game in Beta yet?

They said they where really really close to becoming a beta last Christmas. I made a post during the stressperiod later in early June about how "this is just taking forever."
Eventually I kinda forgott about DayZ, but every now and then I really feel like playing some DayZ, but i want the new patch. Is anything officially out yet? Will it be done before this christmas? The next? When is the full game done?


Feels like this game is on some kinda life support system, DayZ mod was probably the biggest thing to happen back in 2012 and had a major impact for the multiplayer survival genre. Such a shame how it seemed to fail so badly. Don't get me wrong, I think SA has seen alot of neat improvements. But its been happening so damn slowly and have had alof questionable design decisions. There are parts i love so much about this game, but other parts that are just so damn dissapointing. Blah gah...ughh.
