Support for the game after 1.0 drops?

I made a post on /r/dayz this morning asking what the support for the game would be from BIS once 1.0 is released, whenever that may be.  The general consensus was that it was 5 years from 1.0's release date.  That sounds awesome but is that just speculation or is there a dev blog or post from the devs stating this as fact?

Yeah it has been said in some reports that they are planning to support the game for 5 years after full release or so. It's pretty easy to believe when you watch how much and long Arma has got support after release.
