You can theoretically take it to your hands and replace the pin if you're fast enough.

Been doing this for some time now.  Posted on this exercise the other day.  Great fun. Good vid!!

It's all part of DayZ, guys.  Don't get upset when you die.  People who KOS (even with grenades) don't really care about their own toon's life, so why should they care about yours? Please don't answer that question here.
