More experimental servers?

Recommended Posts

I guess I shouldn't be surprised how crowded the .60 experimental servers are. Given what is to be expected of this patch. At the moment, I'm only seeing 5 experimental servers available at the moment. Will this increase? Or is this as many exp servers I should expect to see. I'm curious and anxious.

Until I get in, I'll be watching popular Twitch streamers playing on .60. I can't wait to get in and play. Thanks to the devs for their hard work.

Check your ping in the filter.

The devs also said they will look at putting more servers on, possibly tomorrow morning but no promises.

Yep, been trying join one for bout an hour now.... Fairly anticlimactic.

Back to dark souls for some more punishment I guess.

Anyway how's the FPS, does it live up to the hype? Do the pictures move now?

The FPS is way higher than what I expected. Although some of the graphic options cause stuttering.

I was able to get in yesterday. The FPS was dramatically better, but I also experienced more lag on occasion. Stuttering here and there. But, I love the graphics. The fog on raining servers makes it hard for people to shoot you from a distance. So, if you're a sniper you're not going to like the rain. I can't wait to play at night. I loved what I saw in the YouTube videos on night time graphics. And I do love the new UI.

I noticed they increased the pop on exp servers to 60 players. But, they definitely need more servers for more people to try it out. It's never been this hard to get on exp before. But, it's understandable, too.

Its experimental, its for trying out performance and bug feedback, not for players trying it out. Experimental has never been a particularly crowded place and just because people wants to try the new renderer early shouldnt mean that things need to be changed. In short time it will come Stable and we can all play it.

As for big streamers getting a chance to play on their own server, they DO promote the game by streaming it and quite a few of them have been involved with promoting the game in other ways as well.

I THINK I found a bug but as every experimental server is full of people not testing, just running round shooting other people, I haven't been able to recreate it (the server reset and that was the last time I got in)

Perhaps somebody who can get in can reproduce it.

1) had fist fight with zombie,

2) he died and I was bleeding but couldn't find rags or knife

3) continued bleeding UNTIL I changed my ruined shirt for another shirt then the visible spurts of blood seemed to stop but status stayed at bleeding.

4) ran from cherno to stary sobor status still said bleeding but I never greyed out at all, then the server reset and no chance of getting back on to see if my status changed after reset.

While I amongst others are happy to experiment to find bugs, its almost impossible for any meaningful testing with a 1% chance of getting back onto a server, let alone, the one your character was on before the reset....

Apart from that, its a very nice release. Keep up the good work.
