DayZ Graphics Options

Hi guys I just want to know how I should set-up graphics options because I have like 25--30 FPS ;-; soo much lags... my computer is not too bad but I can play everything nearly on ultra...

With a beast of a computer you might see a stable 30 fps in cities but with a normal high-end computer(4790k, 79070) it will sometimes drop to 15 fps when the server gets busy. You might be able to play fallout 4 on ultra in 4k but his isnt a finished game so theres no optimization being made yet. The new renderer will mostly make things better and when it is finalyl optimized the game will run fine. As of now there is not a lot you can do. There are a few things that make a difference though. Playing without edge smoothing makes the game look like crap but gives quite a boost. Also, lowering the range you can actually see things also gives a few fps. as does playing with the new ui. I cant stand playing the game with these things though as it looks so bland and H1Z1:ish.

Dayz and 7dtd are quite different and have nothing in common but survival. I would just wait if I were you. When the new renderes been worked on for a bit the game will most likely run great on our computers. Give it six months or so. Right now is not the best time to start playing Dayz as I expect bugs aplenty to come.

Just walk away for a while...like most of us have done at one time or another, and come back to it when you hear news that things currently pissing you off are fixed or changed for the better.

Sheesh...0.60 is "supposed" to give us better frames, so play 7 Days to Die until you see something on the forums about the new update.

 

This gets said so many times I don't know why I bothered...but it would be a shame for you to miss out on a potentially great game just because a little ADHD got in the way. Peace

OK...You bought this "game" when I did too...good for you and I am glad you decided to support this project early on. So...what exactly do you mean by "and what? still nothing"?

Is there a blank screen when you launch the game? I would file a bug report if I were you.

Seriously, though,

Remember that three years ago it was NOT a "game" it was a project to create a Game.

Two years ago it was a work in progress.

A year ago it was a work in progress using a new engine.

This year it will become a Beta of a Game.

And maybe it will be a finished game this year as well.

Basically there is only two things you can do to resolve this problem. Keep playing "nothing" until it becomes "something"...or move on to other games that don't have Early Access Alpha warnings and disclaimers plastered all over the web page where you bought it. No offense, but you have to admit that there has been enough content and playability in this game to still make it worth the price you paid....especially when you consider that it is just going to keep improving. Have a bit of faith...just like you did back in 2013.

Ow, cool dude, did you also read the disclaimer? It specifically told you not to buy the game.

He is here posting because he didn't REALLY think they were serious.

I honestly think the majority of people who have melt downs about the development speed of this game really did not "understand" just how crude and unplayable it could become during the process.

I really hope they either stop posting their flame-outs or better yet, renew their expectations after 0.60. The rants are all the same, and we all have heard them...and I appreciate where they are coming from...but it just clutters up a helpful forum.

so you saw the... "dont buy this game" then? the best games take longer.... fallout 4 took 7 years....

 

grow up for god sake or get daddy to buy you something else

 

for me and so many others its been the best £20 i spent and got so much more gameplay to come than the 3500 hours i got so far, talk about value for money!!!!

Lol! wtf dude? I thought you were asking for help and it turns out you are just a fucking douche? I ALSO bought the game when it was released and has spent 2100 hours on it already, so without a doubt, BEST 20 bucks spent on a game ever.
