The what if

Recommended Posts

Just watched an Anime .

And it got me to thinking

What would DayZ be like if ( as if possible ) What if the entirety of the player community could fit on one server , granted it would be a much larger map ,

How would your playstyle change if their were thousands of players on the map , only one server , And death = perma ban?

Attack of the Body Snatchers!

A bunch of moaning, shrieking fresh spawns mashing their palms into each other's faces.

Due to overcrowding and a lack of adequate resources, the fresh spawns have begun devouring themselves and anything within arms reach.

*ahem*

KIRITOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

sorry bout that...

Logically a game that will permaban you after death is going to end up with one single player and probably that last guy will suicide as well.

quite frankly i wouldn't play it. the intital uptake would be fun, but it would quickly dinwdle as players get 'banned for death' which would reduce interactions, risk of pvp, competiton for resources/vehicles/prime base locations/etc. ultimately becoming stale- requiring a wipe/reset at some point- which agian would be unwelcome.

Survival games expect a lot of time investment and rely heavily on risk/reward. turining it into what would be essentially be a round-based arena PVP game that drags on for weeks or months would just make me go play something else.
