Dayz Reviews on Steam

Recommended Posts

All I got to say about it is everyone has their own opinions. =/ The only ones that are really stupid are the ones who bitch about how long it's been in Early Access. They do not seem to understand that most games of this size take 6-10 years to complete now days.

This game could be pulled tomorrow and they could keep my money and I do not care. I have 3000+ hours, I got my moneys worth.

Some persons are very nice but incompetant. That's how I see DayZ.

I´m happy that the devs take their time, yes sometimes it is a step back. But many people forget that this is the first try to make a game like this and look at the fast produced survival games after the hype of dayz, sorry most of them are shit. I remember Stalker "a singleplayer game", it took 6 years to finish the game and it was still to early. Maybe Dayz is not the game for everyone, but i can´t understand why people cry about the long alpha phase. Be happy that some people still love their products and trying to make a game that corresponds to their vision.

Advertising it as a survival game isn't wrong at all. I agree that survival is a piddly aspect of DayZ in its current incarnation, however. But because it's an early access game, you're not advertising the game in its current state - you're advertising the end product. And we all know that DayZ is intended to be a fairly hardcore zombie survival game with an important PvP element, and that's been the well-advertised plan from day one. Don't be so silly.

That's just not true at all. It's silly.

Even at the last RTX, Hicks explains that players are the only significant threat. Zeds and survival are there to enhance the game. PVE has NEVER been challenging across any sandbox MMO, and it never will be.

That's not what he said. He said that players will be the most significant threat. Not the only threat.

*Edit* Actually, watching this again, Hicks does say that Infected will never be a threat compared to players. But that doesn't mean that the infected can't be a threatening force on their own.
