D4niel 0 Posted December 8, 2015 Hey everyone, I was on may way to more fps and wondered which launch options actually do work. There are many people and pages out there suggesting a lot, but at the end of the day I did not experienced any real improvements yet. (Using 0.58 stable right now.) There are for instance:-nosplash -> Does remove the Bohemia-logo at the start, but the time until I'm in the main menu of the game does not seem to be reduced (guess the brand is shown already while the game loads?)-cpuCount=x -> no effect-nopause -> no effect I could recognize while tabbing in/out My hardware is not up-to-date, but still in a good shape: i7 3770K, GTX 680 (2GB), 2x4 GB RAM. But maybe still to powerful to make a remarkable difference with the launch options alone? Please focus on the functionality of the launch options in this thread.- Do you have any experiences like that?- Do you know which launch options are available for the DayZ Standalone and actually do work? Cheers!
sneakydudes 278 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) I am going to repair this, post since i accidentally hit save changed. Normally i dont help people with 1 posts but since your new to the forums and looking for help, i will. Also ask to move this to troubleshooting. My hardware is not up-to-date, but still in a good shape: i7 3770K, GTX 680 (2GB), 2x4 GB RAM. But maybe still to powerful to make a remarkable difference with the launch options alone? OK options are not exactly what you need to be focusing on. Its the settings in your video etc... but i have to really tell you you are undercutting that tower.upgrade to 16gb memory, and put in a 960gtx 4gb card like i posted in troubleshooting forum. I have 3 of those towers, but higher end cards, and 16gb its lightning fast on all s1150, s1155, and s1156 so i have all the gens running here at the house/office.(extra parts laying around) Video settingsoverall = customrendering res 100%vsync = disabled userinterfacesmall, 16:9 or whatever you want. This is my older spare i7 3770k tower. I hope that helps Edited December 8, 2015 by TheSneakyDude
sneakydudes 278 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) 16gb kit 2x8 depending on your speed of the board max, might require bios upgrades to get the full power. otherwise 1600 or greater should work fine.brand means a ton, so i recommend corsair 1600 2x8gb for 2 slots price usually is 100ish depending on locations, and if it went up or not. Video card is a huge thing to dayz and many other games these days so 4gb card runs like a top end system card. gtx 960 sc 4gb from asus is running nicely. price was around 329 in Canada but they have huge decrease in prices lately. (pushing for the new cards again) NoteIf you can not afford any of this, i recommend you reduce everything from the above post to lower, medium settings and work from that. But you really need to give your i7 more breathing room. ColdAtrophy 1850 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) -newui-world=ChernarusPlus-nosplash-nopause There may be more that still work but these are the only ones I can confirm. You'd be better served lowering SceneComplexity, ShadowZDistance, ObjectViewDistance, and PreferredObjectViewDistance if you are after FPS though. You might also try the DayZ Config Tweak Tool if editing your ini is something you don't want to do. https://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/228617-release-dayz-config-tweak-tool/ Edited December 8, 2015 by ColdAtrophy
