Hello all , i just joined the forum two days ago i got into online gaming for dayz sa in March this year I'm 75 years old and half blind 20/250 and left handed so i'm slow at the controls i have just over 600 hours in dayz so far you can see my name by this post  i live in the Midwest USA .i don't kos  but do my best to defend i was told by a streamer  that for a new player i was a the best land navigator he has seen.i do my best to keep up to date on dayz sa  changes i'm up north in 1st and also in 3rd person with win 70 and hunting scope  longhorn and pistol have bee planting crops until meet is safe to eat message me on here if you want to play and we will see about adding on steam.

I don't have steam or day z just yet. Looking to change that soon but I have to get a computer capable of running it first.

(Car broke down two days ago and ended a 1 yr relationship, both events have curbed my motivation for now)

However, once I find some magical way to afford a pc that will run it, I'd like to have some friends pretty early on, as I've watched many videos of starting out alone and it seems like a terrible dilemma.

Anyway, I go by jynx, 26, male, and on the eastern united states.

I aim to be a medic or hero in alignment... but caught in the wrong mood I could see me gunning someone down because I spilled my drink 10 minutes ago.

Playing DayZ in one form or another since June 2012.

 

I prefer to RP a solo altruistic zombie hunter of sorts, though recently I teamed up with a friend.

 

My love of survival horror started with BioHazard JPN March '94 and it's where I got the idea for my name.

 

I think this formed my play style as I treat DayZ like a "choose your own adventure open world Resident Evil" which I often wish more people did rather than DM.... and which they will be forced into when zombies and advanced medical comes along in true form.

 

Currently, we are in one of the most bleak moments in DayZ dev and I hope the next few months will be the beginning of a new and more positive trend.

Hey there fellow survivors, names Mad Vlad(if the username isn't a dead give away haha).

Been playing DayZ for the last half year and absolutely loving it. I try to be a friendly, helpful guy but the ravaged society we dwell in forces my hand from time to time.

You can usually find me on the DayZ Colony US-1 server trekking the northern half of the map, setting up camps and scrounging for goods. My trademark green beanie is a good way of identifying me. As of lately though I've been make journeys back down south into the mayhem of the coastal regions(people are crazy on the coast!).

Well if anyone plays on the colony US-1 or just wants to have some adventures feel free to hit me up.

If I could have everything I want from this game, I'd love to see base building sometime soon. More activities and accomplishments added to give us more to do in the game. Maybe some more character customization options. That sort of stuff. Can't wait for modding to be added, because I imagine there are some really creative people out there just itching to do some amazing things.

Its not a "survival" game if your living peacefully day by day with little worry or care in the world im afraid. The game is supposed to be brutal as its supposed to test your metal and will to survive on an hour and day to day basis.

 

Right now your getting the wrong impression about the game. And it doesn't have to be PVP related but your WAY to laid back atm with its current state and lack of survival. And the game shouldn't be about finding everything you want ether lol.

 

Your post is not aggressive and i can admire that but your expectations throw me off a tad.

Ya, well, I've tried PvP plenty of times, and it always seems like very hollow fun. I play on a decent laptop, but even so I have to run the game on low settings, and there is a lot of choppy lag when players start shooting. So PvP is out for me. I've seen lots of streamers playing the game and it looks like a typical FPS, how easy it is to shoot at each other. But for me, the game doesn't work like that even though I play lots of other FPS games on my laptop just fine.
