Many people got the feeling that everyone in Dayz is hostile. People are afraid of being shot, the only counter action you have it to shoot back. What if you can show people that the game is not only about shooting, but also about forgiveness.

Given the chance, I prefer to do it this way since they expect you to finish them.

Hope more people will do the same, and notice that leaving someone behind with nothing is a more of a experience for both players.

This is how I like to do it as well, unless they're abhorrent and deserve the death. (Like sniping someone who you've witnessed murder spawns moments before)

Most people don't want to put their main source of protection away, when they see two guys with guns in their hands, readied or not, telling them to put theirs away...
