Nielseijz 0 Posted November 10, 2015 Hello DayZ players and developers.I really love this game, but one question is bugging me.Will the fps for this game ever be stable in cities?I got a intel 4790k GTX 970 OC8 GB ramI get 20 FPS in cities! on low graphics!I wanna know if the game will ever have good stable fps for ''my setup''.We never get an clear ansfer to this, i really wanna know more about it.Back in the time i upgraded my pc specially for this gameI dont think you can expect everybody to have a 3000$ gaming pc with tripple gfx cards just to run dayz. The only thing that annoys people in playing dayZ now is lag everybody hates lag. When your in combat and you cant hit anything cuz your screen is stuttering around crazy. Its like trying to shoot ducks on the fancy fair while an earthquake.Didnt mean to offend developers, but i have this game 2 years now and i havent seen a big change in the terms of lag. Conrad_The_Comrade 577 Posted November 10, 2015 They plan on working more on the lag issue when it's in beta (As far as I'm aware of)
q.S Sachiel 470 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) To release a (finished) product while also failing to adress serious stability issues would be relict in the developers' obligations and would draw negative attention to their professionalism and abilities within their industry and the market. The observation that BI is an aparrently professional organisation, should suggest that this would be addressed when we near product release. The game infrastructure is not currently able to take advantage of high end systems, and low end systems will also be at a disadvantage due to the computing power being required for this game currently. Do your research and you'll see that sinking more money into your gaming platform will produce only marginal positive results for this game if at all. However long you've supported the product is irrelevant at this point. This question is akin to asking if the meal will ever be ready when the host is preparing it in front of you. 0----------------------------you are here-----------------------------------------------------------------1 not here. Ok lets try to solve what is happening here to you. Never seen 20fps unless its a problem with a loading issue on the cpu, graphics. I do recommend bumping it up to 16gb my friend, and you will be very happy. Also low graphics might be the problem. What windows are you running and what graphics driver version do you have? sneakydudes 278 Posted November 11, 2015 I will offer some assistance to the testing of graphics. Review this. https://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/228617-release-dayz-config-tweak-tool/ It might help tweaking some of the stuff, and if its windows 10 i recommend windows 7 to increase the fps. Do you have an SSD drive? it will help big time. 550w, 530r is the aim and or better. Adata appears to have some drives with better r/w
Mos1ey 6301 Posted November 11, 2015 Performance optimisation is usually taken care of towards the end of development. Having to deal with poor performance on a decent system is annoying, I know, but the improvements that I saw towards the end of Arma 3's development give me faith.
