Says there Rainproof and there not..sure its being fixed but dont run out into the rain thinking you want get wet, I was stuck in the rain the other day and was freezing and drenched about to die when i found one..I happily ran back out into the rain..lol  almost died but I didn't, seen C4mino on twitch get hypothermic a few dayZ ago and they made 4 fires around him and he heated up after 30ish minutes..it is hypothermic! who knows..........ANYWAY the new hiking jackets are bugged atm

Thought it said they were water resistant not water proof. You should still get wet but it should take longer to go through the stages.

The game currently encourages you to just wear the "best" shit that happens to be the most waterproof and also has the most inventory.  It's super boring.

 

They need to rethink clothing and weather effects.

A lot of people wear M65s to maximise their inventory slots, in the knowledge that it's not waterproof. I wear Gorka because I like to be all-weather.

 

Ultimately I'd like to be able to wear multiple layers of clothing, especially if things get colder.

Dont forget that many of the descriptors are place holders etc. Dont put too much faith in them.

I'm pretty sure the m65 jacket provides enough warmth that it doesn't matter that it's not water proof.

 

I think they need some things like ponchos or an item that doesn't provide anything but protection from the elements that you can put on.

Its not like it matters if you get wet. Nothing is ruined, your gear still works as it should and you can get dry in five minutes if you need to.
