DayZ "Deep Dream" Thread

Recommended Posts

Now that there's a convenient web app for creating Deep Dream images, I figured I would give it a shot with some of my screenshots to see what the results might be. I'll showcase some of the more interesting/beautiful results below. Feel free to share your own! :)

I'm going to post the original first, then the various "transformed" versions of it.

Your screenshots are the best by far, ha.  The painting filter is the better of the bunch.  I'm not a fan of the rest.

The "Trippy" filter is a bit much for me, but it's what started the whole thing so I had to see what it would look like :p

Those are wild Tatanko and enjoyable.

Thanks! Don't want to sound like I'm promoting, but I used this web app to do it ;)

Of all the various filters, "painting" is my favorite one, and I think it adds a lot to some screenshots. In fact, I like some of them more with the painting filter of the Deep Dream effects.

"Running With a Flare"

This is by far my favorite of all!

"Truck in Novy"

This one is gorgeous!

"Lighthouse on the Hill"

Somehow that one makes me think of a base camp or colony on some alien planet in space... Very cool.  B)

I've seem many images posted on various social media with the Deep Dream "trippy" filter since the app came out, and I don't understand the trend really...

I didn't even know there was other filters! Applied to screenshots like that looks really nice, at least for me.

But the "trippy" filter? Disclaimer: KIDS, DON'T DO DRUGS!

I've tried many drugs in my life, both natural or synthetic, and I have to say that nothing ever looked like those Deep Dream "trippy" images of people and what-not. Not even LSD. I mean, it's very artistic and all, but I read a lot of comments about how it looks just like this or that, when you're "on" a specific substance.

Anyway, just my 2 cents.

Very nice work Tatanko. As always, your screenshots are simply fantastic!    B)

Thanks, Odin! :)

I'm not usually into trends myself, but someone sparked the idea in my head and the results were too interesting not to share. Many filters just looked weird or noisy, so I didn't bother with them, and many screenshots aren't really suitable for "transformation" if you will. Glad you enjoyed them!

nice work.

What's with the animal faces and trippy?  That's just wrong.  Would love a De Stijl/neoplasticism option instead.  heh.

There are all kinds of other filters, about 15 or so in total. Feel free to check them out (link in the OP) :)
