Hello fellow survivors of the standalone! I think that it would be awesome if the press vest could come in black or green! Not too much explaining to do on this  idea assuming a lot of you feel the same way. It is very annoying to have an awesome military setup, but to have a blue press vest to screw up your camo, making you easier to spot and get killed. Anyway, I believe a black press vest would make more sense than a dark to light blue one. Please let me know in the poll or comments, maybe even by beans!  :D

I actually think all the vest should be able to break out of the mold of standard and camo colors to be honest. I think they plan on doing something with barrels in terms of color dying clothing so lets hope these get added to it.

The Press Vest is blue for a reason, they're suppose to be distinguishable from military/police gear, so that hopefully, who ever your interviewing is fighting won't shoot you, but rather shoot everyone around you so you'll interview them instead.

 

They're probably going to add in more vests and the like, didn't they already add in a plate carrier?

i realy like the vote, you don't even have a chance to vote for "no, leave it as it is".

because it is as mike says, as a war reporter you have to look different than the soliders around you = different colour

next people ask for camo fire fighter uniforms, because they are to easy to spot

No, the Press Vest is bright "shoot me" blue for  a reason, as outlined above.

 

Changing it to some stupid camo color completely eliminates the rationale behind keeping it blue.

 

Besides, you already have various forms of camouflaged vests, don't you? Stop Munchkin-ing.

If you're worried about the color of the press vest don't wear it. It's a trade-off, storage vs. visibility.

like the others :

 

- i don't like poll with yes or yes answer

- press are highly visible for a reason

- if you're concerned by the visible aspect of press vests, wear UK vest, plenty of camo patern ;)

- if they add another press vest color, fluo orange/yellow makes most sense

 

i would not be botherred by an armoured version of the press vest, journalist sometime wear them in conflict area.

Sorry guys, i didn't realize that i didn't put a no answer for the poll. Also i was very tired when i was extremely (as in passing out while writing this) tired. I didn't mean to put a green option in there i must of done it by mistake. What my intention was is to see if anybody would like to see a black variation of the press vest, or maybe the ability to dye the press vest a different color. Possibly spray paint it if possible. Yet again sorry for the mix up!  :blush:
