75 round drum mag removed from game

I imagine since this being the first iteration of the central loot economy, that would play a roll in it as well.

 

Although I did feel that they were far too common in .54 .. They should definitely be rarer.  :)

All existing drums were also nuked... Removed from guns and inventory I had a couple.

Which is why I pose the theory

The lack of patch notes kills me cause I had to know for sure what all the new things are cause I don't trust the exp players to find everything

Odd to me that it would vanish from a gun without a catalog change like the other weapon attatchments did in. 54

Post was meant to be half satire.

Anyhow existing bananas were not nuked from inventory which lead me to believe the drum mags which are the only item reported to have this happen may have been removed

My friend, the Repeater is more accurate than the AK. And you're right, it's a one shot kill, if you know how to aim properly.

If the repeater were nuked from the game I'd post as well about it.

No scope and not fully auto means it has less utility than many other guns.

It is fine if you prefer it but u can't make any argument stand on it being better.

The loot tables are a work in progress. It's bound to change. 

 

Since everyone loves to go "Mel Gibson"/Lethal Weapon style with the AK and spray and pray, it has a big impact on the community, but let's not forget it's not the only item missing from the loot tables.

 

Last year when the crossbow was introduced, around experimental 0.44, it had a quiver to quickly reload bolts by pressing "r". A few months after that, they somehow removed them from the loot tables. For Christmas 2014, we had a patch that added Christmas trees and other things, but the first time that patch went live on experimental, we had a 2 days of crazy loot where every item on the loot list was spawning everywhere. 

 

It was the first time we could actually see the MP5 rail grip, and have the .45 acp suppressor attach to it too. During this period, the quiver for the crossbow was back. After those 2 days, we had an "hotfix" for experimental and the loot tables were back to normal, the quiver disappeared with it...

 

My point is, we're bound to see items appear and disappear from the loot tables as the create the game. Pretty much like when everyone lost their attachments do to them being renamed.

I had a drum mag equipped on my AK and it disappeared as soon as I logged on yesterday. I had a banana as well and it didn't disappear. Also found a second banana at NEAF yesterday so they are still spawning.

Shotguns trump all in zombie situations. One hit wonders even on armored zeds. Found a pistol grip shotgun and haven't let go of it since.

That would defeat both realism of the current automatic weapons if there were no drums in existence for them to use and it would also defeat the purpose of the real world modibility of these kinds of weapons as well. They have drum mags for pistols in real life as well. I really hope we can get a few even if it seems unpractical considering they are going to ramp up zed counts.

I had three in my inventory and they are all gone so "ffs" I'm pretty sure it has been removed or there is an error with them.

well would be nice if they had drums for the 101 as well. But once they fix the rate of fire on these weapons using single fire and full fire with drum mags will last you for a damn long time.

What drums are ment to be rare now?? how come i found 2 in the same spot along with 2 high cap vests and an ak handle. That was sitting outside of the non enterable building you see at some mil places , but this one is just passed the office and dinner building at the mills of berezino..

 

Personally i hope they add chances for rifles to jam , specially when firing full auto using drum mag's. But hey thats just me.
