Lord Roro 19 Posted March 10, 2015 where can I store my ammo that's close enough to load/reload my gun but not get ruined by zombies attacks? Backpack ? It's (in my opinion) the only item that can't be ruined by zeds in one hit.
Santa fox 53 Posted March 10, 2015 Pants, i'd say. Either that or backpack, but it'll take a extra second or two to scroll down, find the ammo and then drag it over to the gun. I'd definately suggest going with mags and putting them at the bottom of your backpack.
IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted March 10, 2015 I'd go with the backpack as well. If you know you're about to go into combat 'close' your other clothes so you won't have to scroll as far down and keep the ammo near the top of the bag.
Lord Roro 19 Posted March 10, 2015 Or stay classy and keep a Derringer in your wool dress.
BleedoutBill 1636 Posted March 10, 2015 The pants, jacket and vest are all likely to be damaged for various reasons. The backpack may not be the most convenient, but it is the least likely to be ruined (along with its contents).
Rags! 1966 Posted March 10, 2015 Put items like food in your chest clothing, then close it. If you get shot there, food is not hard to come by. Yet. Minimize your chest area so that you can see more lower inventory space below. When I have ammunition, I always split it in the pants and then another pile in the backpack. That way no single shot will render my ammunition useless. Also, it is very useful to keep an empty slot of inventory space in your pants so that if you empty a weapon with rounds, those rounds are easily accessible and don't go somplace like your backpack where you might have to look for them in tense situations.
cmeng12@jcu.edu 15 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) Inside the only item that I see in my inventory: protector cases. But really, you've got to carry at least 2-3 mags / stripper clips / speedloaders etc. if you are planning on hopping in a firefight. Otherwise it is just a "shoot to force cover" and run. Edited March 11, 2015 by coltonmeng

I haven't had an issue doing it, and you can still use items on your hotbar that reside in protector cases.
