Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted March 6, 2015 I'm a little paranoid in game. My motto is "never assume you're alone", and with 1000+ hours I know it's true. I got freaked the F out last night when nearly a dozen times I swore someone was watching me, I'd turn and see someone running the other way or ducking behind a building. I'm not sure if there was a clan stalking me, someone trolling me, or I just had odd luck. Over a span of maybe an hour and a half what seemed like every few minutes when I turned I'd see someone in an odd position taking cover. I kept moving south through a few towns including Vybor, and it kept happening. I even chased a guy from behind a hay bail just to confirm I wasn't seeing ghosts, when I got to within 100 meters of him he ran (he seemed only armed with a fire extinguisher). Maybe that side of the map was really busy on the server I was on? It seemed like a bunch of different people, not 1 or 2. I wasn't getting shot at though, which was weird. Anyone else go through bouts of super paranoia? I think it's gotta be worse for those who don't straight PVP all the time and play the role of the survivor more than the aggressor, which is what I usually play. I'll stand and fight, but finding a fight is usually not my first priority.
schwaBAM 200 Posted March 6, 2015 For sure! When I'm trying to play a survivor (taking caution and steering clear of major cities, living off the land, etc).. I tend to get extremely paranoid/nervous. Yet when I look for trouble or aim to strictly PvP I don't get paranoid and find myself playing the game with a different feeling and a new angle. GaryWalnuts 1680 Posted March 6, 2015 Yes definitely, the more hours I put in Ive noticed the more paranoid I've gotten. Scout a town with binocs for 10 minutes before heading in then a player pops out of shed! Was he peeing all that time? The more cautious I play the more I feel like I'm being watched too. On the other hand ... Stalking ... Following a player through a few towns without being noticed, getting close enough for an easy kill, then follow him into another town. That's a paranoid minigame in itself. I've been hoping devs would add a feature where you could throw stones that make just a bit of noise because the icon that pops up when you tap the mic is a dead giveaway. Since you need to hunt for ammo in specific places at the moment. Hopefully ammo becomes more wide spread and finding a box of military grade ammo on a farm or inside of a regular car or truck becomes possible to an extent rather than a dream. surf_polar 110 Posted March 7, 2015 What. Ammo is aplenty and can be found everywhere. If only it could be much less ammo spawning for the game to be good. Are we playing the same game?

Yeah and especially if you are alone you can't drop your guard for a minute. In that respect it would be nice if there weren't random player sounds going on.. its really annoying.
Calvin Candie 189 Posted March 7, 2015 I never observe a town or a base for longer than half a minute prior to heading inside. I feel if I stay longer observing, the chances of someone entering the base will increase. Better go in while it is empty NOW.Anyone else thinks like this? Unless I'm camping the military base in Turovo waiting to hold someone up.

Dagwood 680 Posted March 7, 2015 Killed a guy the other day in elektro with my trusty longhorn+blaze and earned myself a fully kitted M4 with a half dozen 60 mags and protector cases. I'm almost too paranoid to log in now...
