Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted February 24, 2015 Just curious what type of crafting everyone has done. I know sometimes I get in a rut where I forget about improvised bags (since dry bags and other types are so common), and I didn't realize how awesome the improvised leather vest was. I might try to make one tonight. Also, does anyone out there trap rabbits or fish at all?

I might try to make one tonight. Also, does anyone out there trap rabbits or fish at all? I think for the normal PVP players it has enough / too much food, that such Craftig is simply unnecessary or is not used. But there are plenty of RP players who take such well-game content instantly! The backpacks are made just visually appealing and just have a good camouflage. Therefore, the most often used. (I use it too)
Wookieenoob 191 Posted February 24, 2015 i kind of feel like you should be able to attach the improvised backpack to the ghillie bushrag, since you made them both and the bushrag isn't exactly made of anything other than burlap (like the backpack) and you made them both anyway
trujuice 56 Posted February 24, 2015 I wish the you could spray paint the improvised vest because the bright pink stands out like a Bobbitt on the side of the road.
GaryWalnuts 1680 Posted February 24, 2015 I like the vest as it has 10 slots, it takes 4 leathers which I believe is 1 deer pelt+lime. They are a bit bright so the compromise is a bit of camo for the extra slots. Something to keep in mind when gathering leather: deer hides are 4 slots wide, cow hides are 5 slots wide, thus cow hides require a hunting backpack if you plan to carry it. Rabbit snares work pretty well and you don't have to see any rabbits around (they can be caught way up in the northern limits where no wild life visibly spawns, carp can be caught there too). Just make your snare, set it and walk away, come back in 10 minutes to see if it's caught anything or if it has been set off. When you set a trap for the first time, go prone and take a close look at the loop that the wire makes. When you come back later see if it's still a loop or if it has unraveled, you may need to reset it. Good luck hunting!
Tatanko 5591 Posted February 24, 2015 I haven't yet crafted any clothing, but I've done just about everything else at least once. The stone knife and hunting gear are particularly useful. Maybe I'm not in the majority, but I do trap rabbits from time to time, mostly for fun. Haven't done much fish trapping since it was implemented, but I keep meaning to. emuthreat 2837 Posted February 24, 2015 The natrual vest is the first thing I go for after I'm healthy and have a gun and axe; just find a bag, some lime, and a sewing kit, and off to the hills.I really wish they would put in dyes already, or just let spraypaint happen on them. Can anyone still kill deer with something other than a bow or gun? I'm itchin for thrown weapons to start doing stuff. i.e. Ice axe thrown to kill deer at 30 meters. Christoffer.s 13 Posted February 24, 2015 Vest, jacket, both bags and a bow. Tried a suppressor today but apparently thats for 0.54.The most useful of the items were the vest
twr 43 Posted February 25, 2015 I like the vest and jacket... haven't made the pants... the hat looks stupid... and I prefer the look of the boar bag over the leather sack... same amount of space and smaller profile... AND easier to make as long as you find rope and a boar
Krawallkurt 118 Posted February 25, 2015 Good that it is in Game. But i go for the "normal" Stuff. Is the leather Stuff rainproof?
blacklabel79 949 Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) I allways use the crafted backpacks/messanger bag. I even go as far and downgrade to the courier bag due to lower Profile and i just likle that ist well...improvised. That useally happens after i found a vest. dident had the Chance to try out crafting clothing but thats next on the list. Havent tried the rabbit snairs. The fishtrap i placed but was out of luck catching anything. IMOH as the Status update stated we move Forward to a real scarcity of canned goods so we also will see more use of the crafting recipes. :) Edited February 25, 2015 by {Core}BlackLabel
