Player has random disease when spawning.

I am not a native English speaker so I will try my best to make no grammar mistake.

 

Some players complain that our life in dayz is a little boring: spawn on the coast, run to big city, eat and drink, go to airfield or vybor military base, death.  :P So I would like to see players take more attention into survive and struggle in the wasteland. 

Because our character are the lucky survivors of doomed world, they should not be such "healthy", they may have some diseases when reaching Chernarus.

These disease are not deadly but will make your life in dayz more dangerous and you should find some ways to cure them.

 

1. Headache.

When you were washed upon on shore, your head got hit by something and you feel bad.

Effect: dizzy(fuzzy sight).

Cure: painkiller.

 

2. Fracture.(No legs fracture :D ,arms only)

Effect: pain in arms, shaking when aim, lower melee damage.

Cure: you know.

 

3. glucopenia

You suffer from glucopenia because you are unconscious and starving for a long time on the coast. 

Effect: dizzy, may fall unconscious again.

Cure: Eat a lot, blood bag.

 

4. Fever.

Effect: sneeze(make loud noise), feel cold.

Cure: antibiotics

 

5. stomach trouble

Effect: groan, may vomit after eating/drinking.

Cure: Charcoal Tabs, Injection vial.

 

*To not make game too hard, these diseases can be cured permanently once you have the correct medical. Player can only has 1 type of disease when spawn.

*System will hint your problems by texts.

*These are just a simple suggestion and I really hope devs add more survivor stuff in game. :blush:

I do hope disease features with game mechanics.
But I do not like your suggestion "Player has random disease when spawning"

Or It also look like : "Rush the first half/full stuff guy you meet with your only fists, since you have nothing to loose except your fresh life" - A fresh life that would be even more worthless if (unfairly) affected by a disease when spawning.

I agree. Most spawns allready go Yolo bananas on your ass. We dont need more.

Some people will also respawn till they get the disease they dont mind the most.

I do however would like diseases ingame and multiple stages of a disease. So maybe at first of say a headache painkillers will be enough. But when ignored too long it will turn into a migraine and you will need a constant supply/dose of painkillers or similar.

But not a rng disease from start.

i like the idea and i think if you put that idea on servers where you can't respawn for like an hour douchebags who suicide to get better spawns will stop or play on d-bag servers with other d-bags where they belong. i can't wait till they implement that feature so admins can change the spawn in timer these yolo swag ass hats can spend there time waiting or go find servers that match there playstyle i'm for anything that makes my life in chenarus harder and i think bieng injured at spawn makes sense we just wash up on shore now slightly hungry and thirsty which unless your new its not even an issue.

wow i would stop playing if that would be realized

how is his idea any worse than spawning and getting shot or spawning and getting into fights etc its all chance you might survive the kos douchebag killing new spawns. just like you might survive a disease you spawned with its not different its the luck of the draw. and if you would stop playing because of that why don't you stop now because of the bullshit i mentioned previously.

i wish the would hurry and add diseases in game we need them its a toss up to me between diseases and stamina both i think are very important to the game and will change things.

Disease and sickness should be tied directly to player actions. Random diseases upon logging in would just frustrate and confuse the vast majority of players...

 

The devs should, perhaps, allow private shards to increase the rate of infection and disease.
