Kutter 0 Posted January 10, 2015 Completely new player here folks... Feel a bit dumb but how do I pick up items? Walked into a building found some tape and a wrench. Walked close, clicked, right clicked... Tab shows them on the left hand side of a window but im unable to drag the to the right hand side (my inventory) I read that your supposed to 'scroll' the mousewheel.. Well that does nothing. becker44 22 Posted January 10, 2015 Having the same issue from time to time. I've been able to work around the problem by removing an article of clothing and putting it back on. This seems to allow me to pick up items. Word of warning though: Some buildings will lose the article of clothing or it may drop a floor below you. Best bet is to remove clothes outdoors, put back on and re-enter the building and you should be able to now pick up the item. Hope this helps. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

All I can say is, don't get discouraged by bugs and being shot for no apparent reason. Try as many different things as you can. By the time you are reading this then you have already been able to pick up items. If not then just go watch YouTube videos for an hour and play DayZ again. yazar8 584 Posted January 10, 2015 Click on the item, don't release your finger from the click, now drag the item OUTSIDE of your vicinity, to be clear, to the left of the vicinity window. Now hit TAB and try taking it up again. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
