Insane loot luck in Berezino?

Recommended Posts

So I was playing and wasn't recording at the time. I was pretty much trying (for about the 11th time) to gear up a character for future videos. I spawned close to and end up making it into Berezino on about a 10 player server. I ran around, got a little lucky and found a Longhorn and MP-133. I felt really good since I don't get that lucky with weapon spawns. I kept on moving to see what else was around.

This is where it got crazy for me.

I was running by what looked to be an apartment complex at the time and noticed two backpacks, two piles of grass and two first aid kits on the ground nearby the building. I ran up closer because I knew that that wasn't a typical spawn point for that type of loot. Once I go close I brought up my inventory tab... turns out it was two M4A1s fully decked out with attachments and the little "grassy" addon to make them camoflauge. Then I looked in the first backpack. It had 4 vests which EACH had 4 30Rnd STANAG mags in them FULL with ammo. The next packpack had the same type of mags as well as a few survival items...

How in the heck did this happen? You think two people were killed there? Nothing in the bags were ruined that I could see? I recorded some of the footage AFTER I had already looted some, but I havent uploaded the video yet. My character right now is "Freezing" so I'm waiting to see if I can get some help from some Steam buddies before I log back on, but HOLY CRAP! What luck for me??? I've never been an owner of an automatic rifle in this game, but here I am now! Out of sheer luck ;)

If interested in the video footage, I'll have it up sometime during this weekend, but don't have it now unfortunately :( Channel name is Shawn P though.

How do you think that look got there though?

Could be duped...could be legit ie: Somebody felt generous....but it's more than likely duped.

Regardless. If you are freezing and have a good jacket (pristine) go for a run. Open up you inventory tab periodically to see your temp status has returned to cold and ultimately, normal.

Arranging 3rd party help prior to you logging on is not really in the spirit of the game. But that's up to you man.

By duped gear, do you mean someone may have set it up to be a trap? Sorry, not familiar. And I figured people usually sought help since clans are around and some people encourage group play. I'd really hate to die to enviormental conditions considering this gear is really a first for me and I haven't gotten to use it to defend myself from the utmost arseholes in the game D:

Duped means copy of gear, not always true.

Sometimes it just is someone got killed or died and stuff pulled off of body, or just simply it was a duped.

Not everyone cheats in the game.. they actually do hunt helicopters all day long.

Btw, what is so extremely difficult for the devs to fix duping?

During testing, players/testers manage to find new ways to dupe in gear and since there's no global fix for duping in general, the guys have to address each method individually. Of course it's frustrating when some players abuse the methods, but all things considered, the game is still in development, players are reporting these issues and the devs in turn will be able to fix the problems.

It's not, development on this game is extremely slow.

So I'm not the only one who thinks so. Hundred thousands of people have already bought the game (i.e. the Alpha) and spent millions of Dollars to it. People really want to play it. They are eager. The Alpha has been out now for more than a year. Arma II and more or less whole Chernarus have already been existing.

For an anticipated AAA title that already has flushed in $$$ and whose skeletal structure has already been existing (it didn't need to be done from scratch) to all those people out there being eager to eventually play it, it really seems to be a very slow process.

Concerning the duping: are there hundreds of methods to dupe?

Nono, not hundreds :) It will most likely take some time to plug up all the holes, but since it's quite an important issue, please rest assured that the issue will be addressed continuously during development.

Development of the game is NOT slow. Its just that we are in the starting stages of Alpha development which is the main thing about Early access.

When a big game, like battlefield for example goes Closed Beta, development on that game has already been ongoing for two to three years, Its then pulled back, changes are made and six months later Open Beta, then later its released. We aren't even at Closed Beta yet and Probably won't be til the end of the year at its earliest.

As for that stash you found its most likely duped or a "gold box" that hackers use to spawn their gear.
