wolf-yiggy 7 Posted January 6, 2015 Week old character with "high grade" clothes/gear/etc. For weapons I happily had an akm w/ 75 round drum, & ak74u w/ 3 mags in bag. (This character had progressed threw churno-balota-north kamenka military base-zelenegorsk-Vybor-Vybor military base. & popped around these areas for about a week. Mostly in about 10-20 player servers (no gun fights at all)... Then a guy I know wanted to link up in churno on a full map!!!!!! I didn't want to do it :( I'm all for pvp, but I don't venture to churno & electro as much anymore when geared (quick note before some finds a reason to put down something about my play style - been playing Dayz SA for a yr and the mod I played for about the same, probably more)But whatever he wanted my help to make his way around @ churno (I ran from zelenegorsk) --- when I arrived we linked up in a two story house (I locked the main door) &He cooked some meat over the fire on the second floor :)No big deal so far.. After we at he he decided to move across churno (heading towards balota).. Not long after we head out does he get engaged by an akm! While he was standing 30-40 meters in front of me. He drops dead, & know I find myself in a gunfight alone (when I didn't even want to be there). It turns out that the guy who killed him was with about 5 guys total. I shot about 20 rounds his direction & backed off. I made my way around a couple of corners & looked for a building with a good line of site of my buddies body. Again I locked the main floor door & the door behind me on the second floor..... It was a great spot. This turned into me taking out a handful of guys trying to loot him. Turns out churno was crawling with players! I had successfully repelled the threat, but I could see movement still in all diff directions. Next thing I know!!! A guy with an axe appears running at me, luckily I had time to react but my shots didn't register. So I got out of there (the doors I locked were open, so I accept he broke the locks, but this guy was prob hacking.). So I run run run... Then after I dip a few corners and spray at one guy I came across (didn't hit him) I make my way in a building (Prob 150 meters from the last one I was at)... I watched the door for about 10 minutes waiting to see if someone was on my tail. Once I felt comfortable I made my way to the second floor. Again I lock 2 doors inbetween me and the exit... For the next 10 minutes after that I was playing camper still. Just waiting to see if someone's on my tail.. My buddy by this time made his way to where he was shot (& confirms all the kills I made). I begin to scout out the windows again very sudly.. Then out of absolutely no where in a locked room. I hear an ak go off right next to me in a locked room & I die. This is why I avoid churno & elektro.- all of this went down by the courtyard & statue in churno by that massive building that looks like a political building & the smashed hotel. I gave the first guy the benefit of the doubt (even though I shot him in the chest with a burst & non registered from 10 feet away.... But the phantom ak bendit deff was hacking. Doesn't matter, but the amount of time it takes to legitimately gear up a charecter warrants more urgency towards correcting this. I accepted the possibility of dieing. We keep training in hopes that we may one day attain the ability to teleport, shoot at 300% regular speed, take 2000% damage before dying, and cover dozens of miles of ground in seconds. I've got 1,500 hours under my belt, but I still haven't mastered these things... :T We could just avoid other players and live our lives in the wilderness, fellating one another and eating rabbit stew, however, at the current time we're seeking out player combat since, y'know, it's fun, right? Unfortunately for us, we're normally killed within an hour by some "Goku" player with a high-pitched voice calling us names and laughing at our inability to teleport to safety. We have, in several instances, managed to eliminate a few "Gokus", but to our dismay, we've been unable to identify the source of this strange, omnipotent power. In this scenario, we're generally snuck up on by the previously eliminated "Goku" while we're still examining his corpse for clues. Let the audience decide...There are ways this can happen, both legitimately (legit, no hacking, such as someone happening to have camped there and logged back in) and also illegitimately (aka hacking). Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted January 6, 2015 My advice - if you're well geared and on a high pop 3pp US server avoid Elektro/Cherno areas, and maybe Berezino.
