High end PC with awful FPS

Recommended Posts

I will start of with the problem im experiencing which is pretty annoying. What happens is in the wild i get about 50-60 fps while in large towns its about 15-25 FPS on Medium/Low settings and my GPU usage in the large towns is always about 40% if not lower.

I have set in Nividia Control Panel for the Power Management to "Maximum" and has not fixed anything. Also added some of the Start up Setting on Steam Properties and still nothing.

My Specs:

GTX 780 Ti Palit Edition

i7 4790k 4.0 Ghz

8GB RAM Kingston 1600 Mhz

850W PSU (Golden)

Please help me i have no idea why my GPU is struggling and not using all power on this game... sick of DayZ's Problems.

Regards

How the fuck is it "Just the game" Since my friend has a worse computer and gets better performance!?

Like srsly must be a logical explanation also why my GPU Only sues 40% instead of fucking 100%. Logic right?!

In what way does your friend get better performance? Higher FPS?

What is his setup compared to yours? Does he use the same graphics settings?

At this moment in time some graphics settings in DayZ will cause your game to run slowly, there are guides out there as to what to turn on/off in order to make the game a bit more smooth. Hopefully we'll be able to max out the graphics settings in DayZ at release but for now they cost too much in terms of performance.

Indeed Higher FPS.

He has a worse GTX 760 and and i5 from what i know and also 8GB RAM.

I just dont understand how tons of people are getting 40 FPS in large towns like cherno etc while i cannot with a fucking GTX 780 ti and i7 4790k. Also dont understand why my GPU runs at 40% usage while in those large towns. ALSO the FPS doesnt seem to change no matter how high in graphics I go (except anti aliasing).

Well only way to get 40fps in larger cities is to set object detail as low as possible and maybe disable shadows and AA. You just won't see other players unless they're couple hundred meters away from you. Then maybe lower view distances from the .cfg file to get couple fps more.

Have done similar stuff to the video according to my specs, and GPU still locked at 50% usage around never reaches 100%, for example playing Far Cry 4 on Ultra i get 100% constant usage of my GPU.. From what i understand the engine is just shit and they aren't able to fix this issue.
