blunce 991 Posted December 16, 2014 Well, at least this thread taught me something.
kichilron 8550 Posted December 16, 2014 This literally doesn't say anything. Serverside-FPS can be that low at times, this doesn't say your client FPS have to be that low. Nor does it say anything about firefights. What exactly is the purpose of this?

The 5 FPS you see is the rate at which the world is simulated (also known as tick rate). Yes, your client can run well but your server's tick rate matters a LOT in player interactions. The shitty tickrate is part of the reason why you get SECONDS of delay in DayZ. This is the reason why people shoot at each other and wonder why nothing happens. Our server is running at 1-8 FPS with barely any players on it and the CPU is constantly maxed. This is a joke.

If you actually took your time to post this as a description below your screenshot, maybe that would enforce you attempt to get your point across.Apart of this, the low fps is common knowledge and occurs as the game is unoptimized. kichilron 8550 Posted December 16, 2014 Hello friend, I merely wanted to share my friends' grievances because apparently nobody on the internet knows anything about the tick rate. It is still more than you know about Alpha. Expect it to change, as development starts focussing on optimization. For now your findings are pretty irrelevant, as performance jumps around a lot.
