Player stats live tracking

Recommended Posts

Hello DayZ community!

I'd like to suggest the creation of a live user stats viewer, showing the time, server, number of kills/respawns, average lifespan, damage taken in by limb, "favorite" decease, favorite weapon, favorite city, etc etc, much like the game trackers that started back in America's Army and Battlefield 2.

Is it possible to do it for DayZ? It would be awesome to see our stats and compare with our friends.

A tracker would encourage people to work on 'specialties' or try to compete in doing one thing.  DayZ is supposed to be a survival simulator where you're going to likely have to do everything, whether you like it or not.  Tracking kills, for example, is going to cause a lot more kids to run around and shoot everyone they meet to grow their stats.  Just let people play the way they're going to play without rewarding them with arbitrary number statistics.

Well kill count may encourage well killing, but time survived or distance travelled would be nice.

To achievement sounding for me, its been suggested many times on here in the end with SA or any survival sim I feel less is always more.

I wouldn't be against the idea of stats being revealed on death, but global stats - even if you can only see the stats for your own character - isn't such a great idea.

But as I said, when you die being able to see 'zombies killed' or 'calories eaten' 'distance travelled' and all that would be fine, though I sort of prefer a simple 'you are dead'. it's daunting, but in a good way.

i really do not like the idea of stats because we all know which ones would matter and that would be K/D and headshot distance etc. now not to be a complete dick i have thought of a compromise you keep your own stats either by carving notches on your gun or collecting ears then you can still compete with your friends but of course when you die you start over. only way i would like to see stats honestly is in game not a third party program no battlelog BS please.
