Johnny Depth 167 Posted December 4, 2014 Is this not possible? Using makeshift arrows from sticks and feathers. I can get them out of walls and trees, but not out of zombies. Thanks for clarification

Hopefully this will be changed in the future.
Johnny Depth 167 Posted December 4, 2014 Daaaang, that is straight cray cray. I guess I will try to find a shotgun instead for now :/ Was really looking forward to using a crossbow / bow. Also, saw 3 zombies chasing a BULL @_@ lol
Judopunch 523 Posted December 4, 2014 Arrows are a dime a dozen now. Look for sticks on the forest floor or cut them with an axe. Sharpen stick, search chicken coup for feathers or kill a chicken. Arrows forever.
Johnny Depth 167 Posted December 4, 2014 No thanks jeff. I'll find a shotgun for now until they fix dat problem
Wili 156 Posted December 11, 2014 I think arrows impacting zombies should appear in the zombies loot inventory after killing it.

Killawife 599 Posted December 11, 2014 Its weird since it used to work when the crossbow first appeared. You could use the same five arrows for dozens of shots, then they removed the feature.
CJ_14 105 Posted December 11, 2014 The arrow/bolt is supposed to get "damaged" when hitting a Zombie and so being unusable. I know this doesn't sound logic, but is what I found from an older post some time ago. Hopefully they will change this and make them appear on the zombie/survivor inventory

Hell, even stone and bone broadheads can and will punch through bones, no worse for wear. The shafts I can see getting damaged, but you can straighten them relatively easily, or just use rivercane, and have a never-ending supply of perfectly straight arrow shafts. Why include a ranged weapon with reusable ammunition, if you can't reuse the ammunition?

They fooled you into thinking it was planned but the truth is thats its less programming/coding and less strain on the taxed engine to have arrows instantly disappear instead of being retrievable. This is why Bohemia should have bought or made a new engine over a year ago.

They are making a new engine... Eventually zombies will have loot, and you will be able to retrieve arrows.... This is an alpha...

WTF are you stupid? I clearly said it wasn't logic because I hunt with my bow!! I know you can retrieve them from a dead corpse practically intact. But this the "reason" for they to disappear at the moment...they will (and hell, they should) change this further into development...so calm your fucking tits!
