papajo 13 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) That cannot happen (at least if I understood what you want) because you are playing in a mmo....More simply lets say ok you accelerate time for you but what happened to the rest of the people in the same server as you when you accelerate time? will they accelerate too? then that would be a total disaster since anyone in any random time could trigger a time acceleration and everybody would accelerate with him as well and basically the hole session in the server for every player would be a continues acceleration since one random guy would do it then the next random guy then the next...If they dont accelerate with you then its like you have a cheat for example running much faster than them(because you started going from point A to point B and you accelerated time) in front of their eyes. Accelerated time is planed (as in the entire server can have 4 hours light, 4 hours darkness, or some other variation). As for when? They tested it awhile back.. But I have no idea what come of it.It basically just sped up the time for everyone on the server.It was done serverside, not clientside. Karmaterror 982 Posted December 3, 2014 I think this will be in, as mentioned it was tried out earlier in development. Personally I love the realism of a full 24hr cycle, I like logging in and seeing the same in game time as it is IRL. I think that they should just let each server owner choose what cycle speed they want and give us a server browser list that displays its cycle speed. I was going to say that locking the pub ive to a certain cycle might be best....maybe that one that was suggested a while back where each night you would be playing an hour later so you see all the times f day over the course of a few weeks. But one problem I can see is it dosnt matter if its locked, people could just join a diff server with the time they want so maybe just let them decide for pub hive aswell.
