therandomredstone 432 Posted November 23, 2014 Ok, so my DayZ character is MORE than prepared for a firefight, for avoiding bandits, for helping others, for staying alive. So there's not much else to do, right? I've been at the stage where you decide to rob and kill others, or help defend others. I am idle at this stage, and have been for weeks now. Anyways I have reached my goal. I can repair clothing items if they become damaged, I can EASILY go in the woods, and never come out ever again, and still be able to sustain myself. My Mosin has all pristine parts, compensator, long range scope, a 5 round clip, a pu scope, plenty of ammo, a camo paintjob with a grass wrap to top it off. Anyways I've been carrying all my grenades and ammo and epi-pens in my assault vest for awhile now, but the vest was badly damaged. Even with my magnum, Mosin, firefighters axe, and crap ton of ammo. I stayed away from zombies, locked them in houses, etc. because I was looking for a leather sewing kit, for DAYS now. anyway I said "screw it" and left the coast. I don't know why, but berinzino and the lumber mill were the only places I've been looking for my leather sewing kit. But the first 20 minutes I was inland about a mile and a half, I found a long range scope, I made my grass wrap, more ammo, and found TWO leather sewing kits. Now I'm heading to the far west of the map, to set up camp, hunt elk, cows, boars, etc. And when 0.51 is released, I'm going to get the ghillie suit. When I get it, I'm going to find a nice little spot on the west of the map, to just snipe zombies for target practice, and snipe bandits, help bambi's, etc. Because in this BIG open area, if you have no food or weapons your going to die. This is my plan for DayZ. Post your story, and plan, in the comments below!
huf757 82 Posted November 23, 2014 I too am fully geared but I was hanging with my buddy Shrub and he is showing me a different side of Dayz. A more relaxing, simple kinda of life adventures. I am digging it. So basically after 500 hours of game play I am redescovering Dayz because of my buddy Shrub. So yes I am once again feeling fulfilled.
Conrad_The_Comrade 577 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) Quick question, your plan is to hunt bandits, but what do you classify a bandit as, and how will you know if the person you're shooting is indeed a bandit? Edit: Oh and to answer you're question, yes, I do feel fufilled. I've been taking the more natural life, eating apples and berries, drinking from good ole rivers, eating some fresh venison from time to time, and maybe if I'm lucky enough, some of that good old fashioned (Very very old fashioned) human flesh :D I stick to the woods whenever I can, but if I come across easy human prey, they usually end up being my next meal, of course I've only had this delight twice. c: Edited November 23, 2014 by Stryker7x

Any other way is just pot luck and he himself will just be a bandit/murderer as well if he is just guessing because of the sighting of a gun. But if someone was just "running along the hills" or "running along the road' I'm not going to shoot them! depending on the situation,i might stalk them, seeing if they are hostile, or friendly, nice, or mean, worthy of my help, or deserving to die. And do you play on experimental servers? because cannibalism isn't out till the 0.51 update.

Spreading the word of being fren & brave. no being kill, only frenly. well.. it depends, if they are wearing payday masks and are traveling in a group, ding ding ding! bandits!I wear a Wolf mask and I run to the coast to drop off care packages for the less fortunate. Stahp with the generalizing Payday masks, I've never met a single bandit wearing one, only friendlies. Edited November 23, 2014 by Geckofrog7

Oh and yes, I always play Experimental, I prefer it much much more than the Stable variant.

soulfirez 901 Posted November 23, 2014 Do you start with a different character in experimental? and what are the risks of playing on it?it is a seperate hive so yes different character, dangers of playing on it hmm possibly alot more bugs specially when the first round of an exp patch comes out and you are likely to get your character deleted alot as they wipe clean with each major patch . tobias winfro 305 Posted November 23, 2014 Why do shrubs videos bring a smile to my face every time I watch them? He just seems to have a different outlook on the game, while most of us are running around for loot/food/guns, he's more worried about the pigs and their safety. Some day I am gonna try the simple life and chill like shub does but old habits die hard. Some day I will ask shrub teach me how to live
newberryes 40 Posted November 23, 2014 The moment you're fully geared you get the same feeling as watching some TV series and it just ends and you're left thinking: what's next?,what's the point in living? what purpose do i have in my life?deep stuff man deep stuff... ValentinBk (DayZ) 60 Posted November 23, 2014 I hang around coastal cities (Cherno\Elektro\Berezino), get myself a weapon with a reasonable amount of bullets (10+) and then go into a full server for adventure time. Never gets old.

therandomredstone 432 Posted November 23, 2014 "if they are behind a bush whit there gun draw waiting to ambush someone" just like you do !!hmm.. I guess your right.. I got an idea, people RARLEY travel along the very very west side of the map, if I see someone, I will stalk them and confront them. I don't know what ill do to be honest. But the innocent will not be harmed!
