BattleEye going way too far

Recommended Posts

Here we go again. :) Let me just state the following facts for you:

1.) The BE EULA is NOT new or updated. It's been the same for years. If you only discover it now it just shows that you are ignorant and never read it when you were asked to do so when joining a BE-enabled server for the first time.

2.) BE is not a rootkit. It never was and never will be. If you don't know what a rootkit is please look it up first instead of believing these lies.

3.) AV false positives usually happen because BE files are protected (hence AVs can't properly analyze them), not because BE is doing shady stuff.

If you want to go on believing these shady individuals with their obvious agendas claming that BE is evil, then please do so. I already posted statements on the BE website in the past and at this point I don't feel like doing so again just because some internet clowns call "rootkit" for no reason whatsoever. That only gives them the attention they are craving for. At some point there will be an announcement about our new plans though, so stay tuned.

Thank you Sable, from the looks of it people are up in arms as usual but it tends to be only a certain crowd which means you gentlemen at BE are doing it right.

Im at a complete loss here.

How can anyone believe that an effective AC doesnt scan your computer for software processes, they wont allow?
Did any of you play WOW? Because Warden has been doing this ever since the beginning. (I know because i was banned several times for "botting", where they could show me exactly when the software was running)
How is this a bad thing? Its not like they have complete acces to your entire computer and is sucking the information out of you (like Facebook and Google!!!)

If you arent running any of the software, thats not allowed, it wont affect you in any way, what so ever.

I believe there are a few non-battleye servers you can still play on. It's pretty clear what sort of players inhabit those servers though, isn't it?

absolutely, just the other way around then you might think.

when VAC was "protecting" CS after a short time it did not make any difference if you play on a VAC secured server or not.

you wont stop terrorists... ahem... hackers through cutting in my privacy.

nor should anybody be alllowed to do that without a REASONABLE SUSPICION.

Hello there

Dont forget that the leet haz0rz are having issues with BE at the moment. Whenever they do, the old "BE is evil" thread pops up in reddit.

This isnt the first time this has happened. Do some research and sleuthing.

...

so, just to be clear, you say there is no new or updated EULA at all?

nothing changed there?

damned sure i do not trust BE or any other company to not misuse any private data they can get their hands on.

btw i am not a shady individual with an agenda besides world peace and general freedom.

it is very poor to attack vaild concerns about privacy in general with such a statement.
