I finally had enough. I handcuffed my friend, beat the shit out of him with a baton until he was near death, and then shot him in the head with a Makarov. And it felt great.

When I first got the game and found my first gun and a couple of rounds of ammo, well, I encountered an unsuspecting semi-geared survivor running away from some zombies...I had limited ammo and it was either get my first kill or help the guy and shoot the zeds. Well, I shot the man in the back. I regret it but I was newb and itching to kill someone. 

 

I now play cautiously friendly and have never done anything like that since.

Thanks for the warning! I better have to find a way out of it then, before it drifts me to the dark side and into drug related crimes... Maybe pristine pipsi´s, oranges and zucchini will work as an substitute. I am constantly tempted to consume them immediately/carelessly once I see them.... I´ll give it a try!  ;o)

No, you see, I catch server hoppers with this all the time. Guys who have been to the barracks ten times in a row on different servers. Then they come to the one I am in, and I kill them. It is like I went server hopping myself, spending all that time, but I didn't. I killed that guy instead, and took all his hard work. Far more satisfying than going and doing all those server hops myself. I'm not killing guys who have no gear (I do that too, don't get me wrong), I'm killing fully-geared, dual AK wielding, backpack incepting guys. Often.

Protip: I do this in newly restarted servers. Thats when they come, and come they do.

You probably camp the 3rd person servers like the rest of the noobs....bring that to the 1st person servers and see how you do.

Haha....tough talk, but mostly BS. I regularly kill people at the barracks, I'll take my sawed-off shotgun with snap-loaders all day versus "loot-campers" and their AK's. It's funny when people admit to being a-holes, cuz the people that know you in real life already knew you are an a-hole.

The game has so few things to do besides gear up and kill, enjoy your camping, that sounds soooo exciting. Real PvP'ers don't need to camp, and don't need to use 3rd person.

P.S. I had zero problem finding 4 AKM's today, with 5 drums and 200+ loose rounds from emptying 30-round mags. Killed a camper, here's hoping it was you. I leave the guns I don't need, since I am not afraid of facing other geared-up players.

Honesty I have to agree with DAC , I hate campers and I hate their smug ass attitude when they tell everyone they just sit and camp waiting for a kill ... I mean you must be interested in pretty simple things if that gets you excited :P ...

No offense to anyone who does camp as their only way of playing this game because it IS a real tactic., but in a real apocalypse I would NOT BE CAUGHT DEAD sitting in one area for more than a day or so , and for these campers that do this in game , they more than likely stay in the same spot like next to the NW airfield and camp for 3-5 hours til they get bored , then they rinse and repeat the next day, which for me creates a completely unrealistic play: survivor one : "should we go into the NW airfield?" Survivor 2: " no because were guaranteed to meet a camper coward , let's just skip it because we almost 100% know there is one " ...

Ya not my idea of fun but hey to each his own , i play cautiously friendly when I'm alone never trusting anyone til I really get a good feeling about them , and I haven't succumbed to a KOSer/camper in over a few months , all the while running anywhere I want (airfields) on 20-40 player servers, mostly because I'm usually hidden and get the drop on other players and this is where my confessions come in :

Whenever I'm alone I'm a glorious bandit killing hero known from novodomitrovsk all the way down to kamenka , many children and women speak of the great deeds Grapefruit has done , men fear and respect him and all Bambi's prosper under my guidance ... Many Bambi's try to kill me after helping them to which I reply to them with an axe to their legs , leaving them where they tried to betray .. But low and behold that's not my confession but this is ...

When I'm not lone wolfing hero-style saving the world , I'm playing with my friend Ster Comma Lau the Vengeful Bandit of the West , playing as my alter ego "Lemonberry Slush" I role play a confused bandit who never knows If he wants to make an unjustified kill or not ... I'll say to the wicked bandit of the west "should we kill this guy ? He only has like a moisin ?" While I ask this my tutor of death and destruction is already lining up his shot ... Lol needless to say when I'm playing my alter ego I'm very subject to peer pressure, but when I'm in a right state of mind I play as my hero and save the world .. And sometimes we play a good cop/ bad cop scenario , where I'm playing as grapefruit the hero and he as Ster comma Lau the bandit of the west , it creates a very well balanced play seeing as I look out for the good guys and he kills all the bad guys :) (and some good guys lol !).

Long story short : we ALL have confessions as we ALL have to kill once in a while , but take it from these confessions (as many confessed to being camping KOS deuchers lol) and try NOT TO rack up these confessions lol because the more bad you do the easier it is for someone like me to sniff out your BS when I start talking to you .. And for those "elite" campers , I'm sure I'll never meet you as I don't play on 3rd person servers XD !

I do that for less than 1% of my total play.  I usually play with friends.  I don't mind killing server hoppers though.  Everyone I kill in those barracks is server hopping.  I join a newly restarted server, and wait about 5-10 minutes, and someone comes, then I kill them.  They are always loaded to the brim with grenades, weapons, etc.  Defend them or judge me, whatever floats your boat, I think it is childish myself.

 

Edit- for the record, my favorite thing to do is sweep the airfield and clear the entire thing.  We do it almost every time we play.  Not very camper there, eh?  Don't judge before you know me well, you look stupid doing it.  You don't know me.

I mostly just gear up and then try to survive without killing unless provoked. One time though I ran the whole circle of the map in a few days, was fully pristine and geared. A fresh spawn came running by me with 2 zombies chasing him. I told him to stop running so I could get a clear shot at the zombies to help him. He stopped...I helped him back to a spawn point. I told him he crossed my line of sight. Sorry dude.
