Change name on Dayz folder

When I go to my documents folder, Dayz it shows my PC name and I don't want to use my PC name as username. I then changed my PC name to something and deleted those two files. Now when I open Dayz it creates again the same files with my old PC name. Any help ?

You can edit your name from the main menu (when the game loads). You'll see your name at the right of the screen, just click it.

Alternatively you can set your DayZ launch options to include -name=SmashT 

 

Rght click DayZ on Steam > Properties > General > Set launch options.

Why do you need to change those file names?

thats just the way that it is old bean, only you can see them no one else can, they contain the main settings for the user hence the name is that of the main user

you can reinstall your pc and give the main user the name you want on these files,

 

bit far to go for some unimportant naming convention,

 

why is it so important that these files don't carry this name
