t1337dude 101 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) My favorite kills in the DayZ mod involved me baiting people into locations and then blowing them up. Aiming grenades in ArmA 2 is really fucking difficult and potentially dangerous unless you're in a wide open area, so it was really satisfying if you could net a kill with one. They weren't extremely rare back in the day either, so I wouldn't have to choke up with anxiety when I grasped the weight of the situation at hand. I haven't even seen a grenade in standalone yet, but I've killed a handful of people in the mod with a nade (but only 1 at a time...). Has anyone used any nades in standalone? Any epic kill stories? I remember back in Namalsk, getting an awesome kill by chucking a grenade up at a bloke who was camping above the ladder of the underground tunnels. I'd like to hear something entertaining like that. anotherdeadhero 71 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) They do not damage anything as far as i am aware and yes i have had several multi kills with grenades, i threw one from one aprtment top floor to the roof of the other apartment in berezhino and killed two people on the roof. My other one was at the back of bolota there were two people in one of those tin sheds and they knew we were there so i ran up and threw a grenade in and killed both of them, got it recorded as well. Anyway, I've only gotten the chance to use a grenade on someone once. He was looting the bottom floor of a piano house in Svetlo. I threw in the grenade, shut the door, and boom! I will most likely die before I get to use it because my "action" moments rarely last long enough for me to think clearly. I do still have hope that will change this time though. My grenade is badly damaged (when my jacket it was carried in got ruined). Does anyone know if the grenade is less effective based on condition? I would assume not. I would assume not.Condition makes no difference to the grenade affect, it will still be the same no matter what at the moment and just to clear something up with everyone else. People killed by a grenade will still have ALL of their gear in tact. Probably will change in the future but currently after you kill someone with a grenade all their loot is yours.
