Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted October 7, 2014 In actuality I haven't played the game for a long time, however I tend to play it solo.Gahhh!!!! You're not allowed to say that Inception.! You're missing out... unless real life is just getting the best of you. That's always understandable. If you want to learn how to burn yourself on a camp fire or try putting wierd things in the camp fire (like pens and batteries) to see what happens look me up.

Irish. 4886 Posted October 7, 2014 You gonna log in anywhere anytime soon so I can throw random crap at you and run away? Havent genuinely played in a few weeks here.. about 2 now. Been super fucking busy with work, the kid, the wife, and then work again. Plus I got slightly burnt out on dayz, which happens from time to time with every game I play so I take a short break and come back with fresh eyes.. Ill be back on soon, Im itching to get some shit thrown at me.. like badly. lol
Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted October 7, 2014 Maybe move your computer to another area in the house? This is a non-starter. You've never met an OCD wife have you? Then there's the 2 kids both under 4. I'm currently set up for failure. All my base are belong to them...

bonesnap 75 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) People who use voice chat (this goes for all games), in my experience, talk too much and annoy me. So I don't use it at all really. First thing I do when I load up FPS games is disable server-wide voicechat. Local voicechat is generally fine, and doesn't drown out my apocalypse music. Lol, maybe I'm a minority in this, but I'd rather stay that way than join the majority of people who run their mouth in-game and tell me their life story. I am the reserved wanderer, I suppose. If I need to get a point across, I will type it even though I have a mic. Edited October 7, 2014 by bonesnap
Killawife 599 Posted October 7, 2014 I wouldn't play without a mic. Yesterday I met a guy at the SE airfield. I talked to him but he just ran away. Then I saw him crouching outside a buidling I was in with his weapon out so I tried talking to him again but got no reply. So I killed him, naturally. When I looted his corpse he had no bullets for his rifle or his sawed-off, like wtf? Maybe he was telepathically telling me that he wanted to be friends but I thought it was just the cat. RagedDrew 209 Posted October 7, 2014 It should be made a requirement to have a mic to play DayZ, the way I see it is you're putting yourself and the person who's trying to communicate with you at risk while you sit there typing. The person could think you're just being rude and not answering them and they might try to kill you, or they could think you're communicating over TS/skype/mumble/or what ever other software there is to get back up to kill the person trying to talk to you. Also, how loud do you speak if you're worried about waking your kids up in the next room? Also why are you playing in bed when your wife is asleep? I get it, you don't wanna wake the wife or kids, so get out of bed and play in another room, I'm going to assume you have a living room / lounge / what ever you want to call it, go play there bedrooms are for baby making and sleep, not gaming, use your mic lol. Ben_uk 24 Posted October 7, 2014 There are times when I don't feel like talking, so I just avoid people on those occasions. Ive found though its pretty tough to play without a mic, probably the most essential game ive ever played for actually needing a mic in order to play it. I tend to have my headphone mic around my neck, then just raise the mic part to my mouth when I want to speak. I have pretty good speakers so I feel it a waste to use the headphones themselves, they also hurt my ears after a while.
