My friends shoot anyone who is geared ...

Recommended Posts

You couldnt pay me to bandit at an airstrip. Often people come in force and have no issues shooting you for breathing. Airstrips, bases, Elektro and Cherno are all free fire zones. Saying or wishing something different won't change that.

Chernarus is a free fire zone

I friend of mine says the same "When you're young you tend to be a stupid idealist socialist, as you grow older you tend be become an old conservative moron". Maybe he's right?

He is not the only one, and it is spot on.

My motto: trust no one over 30, or anyone under 31.  Words to live by.

Man, I hate liberalism.

There is good and bad in everything hotcakes.  As you get older you tend to start seeing the mountain of BS behind every agenda.  And believe me, that mountain is huge on both sides.

The modern liberal throws bitchfits about everything in the name of "muh chillunz."

They're the reason why I can't do any recreational shooting because it's so bloody hard to get a firearm.

Don't even get me started because I agree with you, but I don't want to hijack this thread with politics.  But I will say one thing: the socialists love to take away our guns so we are more easily controlled.  Funny, dat.

If you play the Hero, and someone in your group is a Bandit.... Perhaps, maybe you should find someone new to play with.

If i'm walking around and come up on 2 people together, and one of them kills me on sight, then in my eyes you're both bandits.

1. It's a game! Stop crying.

2. To be killed 'on sight' you have to be 'in sight'. Don't run around like bambi, play smart.

3. Avoid military bases and major cities. You don't need AK to protect yourself from zombies.

4. Trust no one!

I've only been playing for about a month, but I've learnt the hard way that KOS anyone who has a weapon is the key to lasting long yourself. In the beginning I tried communicating with people, yelling friendly and stuff, but 3-4 times in a row i got shot while trying to talk to them. I've only met 2-3 people in game in the past month that didn't engage me as soon as I met them. So you kinda learn to do that yourself, it's a very vicious circle.

People get tense and nervous when around other people with firearms - and it is a lot safer to shoot first than to take the chance.

I find it funny how some of you call people dick heads for killing others (Others probably being the posters themselves).

DayZ without PVP is boring.

Funny in my 150+hours only around 5 of those are pvp. There are plenty of things to do then run around mindlessly shooting anything that moves.

Yesterday, I ran into a little garage, about 5 minutes west of Cherno. I ran into there in order to build a fire and dry off, as it had just literally just stopped raining. Upon running in, I was then shot by a M4-wielding "badass" from outside the garage. He hit my legs (My leg is painful) and made me bleed, but sucked too much to cause any real damage.

Me: Hey, hey hey! Stop shooting, all I want to do is build a fire and dry off!"

1st Guy (Squeaker) : GET ON THE GROUND AND DROP YOUR GUN (I had a Blaze and a Magnum)

Me: No. When I do that, you will just shoot me. I am going to build a fire, and dry off.

1st Guy: ...Alright, go ahead.

Me: Alright. BTW, why the fuck did you shoot me? I am all alone, and I don't have anything better than you.

2nd Guy (in fake Russian accent): Watch your mouth! My friend here is super marksman!

Me: Sure. That is why he mag-dumped. ( Accidentally made splint instead of fireplace) Woops

1st Guy: LOL What a dumbass.

Me: Whatever, I needed one anyways. I am going to go get firewood. (leaves garage)

2nd Guy: -proceeds to shoot at me with M4, misses horribly-

Me: Really? Tiny dicked limp-wristed motherfucker! I JUST WANT TO MAKE A FIRE!

-You are unconcious-

Fuck this playerbase sometimes......

Know what you need?  You need guys with guns watching your back.  When you don't have that, bad things can happen.

Meh. If your friends are too dbaggy, then just ask them to be more kind to people. Anyways, it is normal to kill on sight in military locations. Your friends kill everyone who is geared? My friends kill anyone who is not AI :3

I have shot a member of my group more than once for taking shots at players after we have made friendly contact.  On both occasions the person who witnessed the vigilante justice was scared, confused, and ran into the hills.

Oh no, I knew what the outcome was going to be as soon as they walked in. If I am going to die, why bother being pleasant, or compliant?

I did get my hopes up when the 1st kid told me to build a fire, but I wasn't expecting much.

Why bother with the effort of a pointless struggle then?

I really hope the future will change the game further.

0.49 introduced less high-end guns and a little less ammo ( was still flooded with mags though). I just hope this continues and especially ammo gets really rare, at least if you need a certain type of ammo.

I had 2 friendly contacts since patch release, but I started to KOS due achieve my goals (in military areas after dying twice :D ). Want to test things out and repawn all the time.

Nice strawman argument there, kiddo. Nothing wrong with PvP.

There is something wrong with KoS, however.  That discussion is for another thread.

Wait, so if they want to engage you in PvP should they inform you first and then arrange a duel in at high noon outside the pub?  You may not like how they decided to start the engagement but one thing is clear, it is still PvP.

Nope. Notice how I never said there was a mechanical difference between "PvP" and "KoS". There is, however, a "philosophical" one.

My group does, in fact, partake in PvP. ( As do I. I still cannot understand why being anti-KOS also means being anti- PvP) We, however, do not simply kill every player that wanders into our gunsights. Most of time, we will "have the drop" on the other player, and attempt to open communication. If they comply, we handcuff, disarm, then interrogate the subject. Depending on the info,we send a team to intercept the opposing force, then remove all ammunition from the player/give him back his weapon.

If they don't comply, or is antagonistic during interrogation ( trash-talking, clearly talking on TS, etc), well, they get killed. Not tortured, but stripped of all gear (so they can come back for it if they want it that bad) and executed cleanly.

We also have a dim view of those players who sit in a building in Berez/Svet/Novo and kill anyone that moves around their building. We once came across a building in Berez that had 4 freshspawn bodies stacked up in the door, unlooted. We popped in the backdoor and introduced the guy to our wonderful friend, Mr. Anti-personnel fragmentation grenade. The guy had an M4 with hacked magazine, as well as a protector case full of grenades. AKA killing freshspawns for kicks.

I never said but being anti-KOS was anti-PvP but KOS is just a different tactic.  Just like you run around with a squad and overwhelm opponents with numbers, they do it through sheer surprise.  They are both valid tactics, you just happen to play a different way but that doesn't make either play style any more or less valid.
