New military base west of Myshkino

to be fair, those bodies are a placeable that appear everywhere. One is beside the ruined buss in the swampy area along the coast not far from Elektro from the Berenzino side.

 

it was just moved, I'm sure we'll see even more change soon. The socker field up north was there for AGES before the new town was fleshed out. I used to walk by and just wonder why the hell a soccer field was in the middle of nowhere.

Does the loot even respawn ATM?

Every military base i raided was allmost empty, untill wild restart game when i was inside of barracks, relogged and hit the jackpot.

Found AKM, 3x 30 round mags and one 75 round mag plus one ak 101. This was at Pavlovo military base.
If anyone is near myshkino base and wait till restart and check the loots then?

Checked it out a couple of times and basically it was basically food and water.  Not sure what is up the loot table here but it is definitely not spawning the same caliber loot as it was it was before the move nor what you would see at the NWAF "tent city".

• Tons of cans and food in the "normal" tents
• Nothing at all in the tents with a wooden floor
• No zombies
• One pack of .45ACP ammo
• One Makarov
• One SKS

But I like the toilet cabins, found myself opening all of them hoping for loot. :D

 

And they didn't only "copy and paste" from Balota because afaik the dead bodies lying around there are new... not new to the game, but new to the camp.

Copy and Pasted, then added the pile of bodies that used to be at Green Mountain in the mod.

 

The pile of bodies was already at the camp, at least in .48

I really don't think the Myshkino base will be there for much longer. It will probably be removed completely or partially reworked as part of Tisy military base.

It doesn't suit Senchi's style. They've literally just copied the Balota base and pasted it down in a random field. The balance is all off as well. I think we're going to see a proper, fleshed out military base built partially from scratch.

On full servers there is more loot everywhere. If you're on a low-pop server there is less loot. I've tested the theory out and it is true. As for the tent city, I haven't yet gone there on a high-pop server yet. Hopefully there will be better loot there.

Just looted through it myself, not much to report.

 

• 5 canteens
• ~10 bottles of water
• ~10 mixed cans of food
• some fruit
• 1 Gorka Pants
• 1 UK Assault Vest
• 1 box of 7.62x39
• 1 box of .45 ACP
• 3 Mosin Compensators
• 1 weapon cleaning kit
• random other crap

 

Don't let the length of my list fool you.  For the sheer size of this camp, this isn't much loot for the number of tents and structures present.  If you're low on food, and want to roll the dice on the occasional box of ammo with relatively low risk of seeing other players or any zombies... this might be your spot. There's a particular hangar-like barracks/bunk building in the middle of camp with a wood floor and a door. This building accounted for the .45 ammo, the UK vest, fruit and the cleaning kit.

I don' t know about that but I do know that the civilian airbase in the NE is jacked up. It was cool to walk through floors walks and doors like zombies but once. It would be funny to chase someone into there that does not know while making zombie noises.

Btw is the nearby police station haunted? I heard some straaaaaange stuff there.

Not much seems to spawn there the two times I've been there since the .49 release.

I found an SKS, a few varied boxes of ammo, but mostly food and water.

 

I don't think it's a refugee camp, its not near anything that would give refugees a means of escape like the shore line or the Balota airstrip. The fact its in the "middle of no where" leads me to believe its definitely military, and an in game explanation of this could be that it was set up as an operations base by the troops stationed in Zelenegorsk. A place for reinforcements/resupplies to be brought it, although I think a helicopter pad or two would need to be there for this to be legitimate. they could even throw a destroyed hind on the pad that spawns some stuff every now and again.

ok so my loot in myshkino base

 

first visit: 

4 cantines

1 water bottle

3 food cans

1 mosin (not even in the tents but on the ground near a trash pile)

1 canvas pants at one of the V3S wrecks

 

second visit:

2 food cans

6 water bottles

1 makarov mag

 

and those tents with wooden floor in them have generally no loot at all.. not in myshkino and not even in that camp at NWAF

I was there yesterday and it was mostly food items the one weapon I found however was an SKS!

1) take one rifle and put it on your back and then when you see another one just use "F" or "mid mouse button" to "take XXX in hands" 

2) profit

 

but if you have 2 rifles and you use something that needs your hands to do (climbing ladders, eating, drinking, ...) the rifle in your hands is dropped on the ground

Ah ok that's what I suspected, but wanted to ask anyway in case there was a way to carry two. I actually wonder if you end up sawing a mosin, would you be able to put that in your backpack?

 

Back on point re: Myshkino, I have to say it was a massive waste of time for me. I found absolutely nothing that even remotely resembles a weapon. I have been running around with 4 pistols hoping to find mags and got nothing. I really wouldn't want to server hop but I feel like that's almost the best way to get some so I can unload some of my burdens (pistols). It's almost as if schools spawn more weapons/attachments than the military base.
